Description

Up for auction is this newly restored 1966 Volkswagen “Walk Thru” Microbus . This bus has been through an extensive top to bottom restoration and is now ready for the car show and / or that cross country drive you have always wanted to take. If you have ever in your life wished to own an old Vw bus this may be the one you've been waiting for. From the painted undercarriage to the stainless steel roof rack and added accessories attention to detail is evident. My hope is that you can see in the final product not only the money invested but also the many hours of work and dedication that have gone into making this microbus what it is today. What you will find in the following pictures and details is a vehicle that is as functional as it is beautiful.

● Professionally prepared from bare metal- all previous paint sanded and removed

● Some panels were replaced during restoration using high quality Gerson replacements from Klassicfab

● Bus is rust free including underbody

Underbody:

● Completely cleaned and sanded

● Painted medium gray similar to original color

● New heater pipe installed along with new heat insulation (made by JOGR with materials similar to original)

Bumpers:

● Correct "pointed" front and rear bumpers for years 1966-1967

● Original Vw metal straightened sanded and repainted Silver White (L82)

● New installation hardware (bolt kits)

● New rear splash pans hardware and seals

● New front license plate clamps

Windows / Glass:

● Accessory front safari windows including one eyed duck (new by Wolfgang Intl.)

● Original Vw Sekurit side and rear glass (nice for their age and originality but expect to find some light scratches and blemishes)
