This is a true 1 owner from new 1991 Alfa Romeo Spider that i'm listing for a friend. The Original Title is clear and in hand (see picture). It is the very first automatic sold in the United States. It has been loved and driven all its life. It is extremely original and comes with the original tool kit, owners manual, spare tire, original factory stickers and body badges, and even the original selling dealer's tag.
It has been very well maintained including much servicing in the past few years (see picture). The big items include:
- New Front driveshaft (July 2016)- New driveshaft flex disc / Guibo / donut (July 2016)- New Radiator- New Coolant Reservoir- Brakes front and rear- Cylinder head overhaul and re-surface- Motor Mounts- Heater Control Valve- Brake Master Cylinder.
The exhaust was also just repaired / refitted and it sounds perfectly smooth. Overall, mechanically, it's in good road-going condition. It starts right up, runs and drives exactly the way it should. The radio gave out a few years ago so it's been replaced with a newer Sony that has an aux port for i-pod or equivalent device. There's good tread on the tires and the wheels are in very good original condition. The odometer has intermittently stopped working the past few years and there's no rime or reason to it, i.e. hot, cold, wet out, etc. So the mileage is higher than showing. The check engine light intermittently comes on but doesn't affect the way the car runs; again, it runs very well. The transmission shifts very smoothly through all the gears.
Cosmetically, it's a good 5-10 foot car. The top and rear window are in excellent condition. The paint is very shiny as it has always been garaged, but there are a few dings and dents that have all been pictured. The front of the hood has a crease in it and the clear coat is starting to peel on the small panel that houses the washer nozzles. The small tear on the drivers seat left upper bolster is really the only issue with the interior that isn't normal wear. All the trim inside and out is present and functional.
I've described the car as accurately as possible; the good and the bad. Please ask any and all questions before bidding. The car is in a western suburb of Chicago. Viewings and mature test drives are welcome with some advanced notice. If you have less than 10 or negative feedback, please contact me or your bid will be cancelled.
Thanks,
George 630-606-5616
