Description

You are viewing a very rare 1st year production of a 1964 Alfa Romeo 105.02 Giulia Sprint GT. No rust example.

This fantastic example is being offered for sale due to the owner paring downing his long time Alfa collection. A very good friend of mine who is a long time member of the Alfa club asked me to help him sell his beloved Giulia Sprint GT now that he has gone into retirement. An extremely knowledgeable Alfa owner who also worked for over 10 years at an Alfa Romeo repair shop that worked exclusively on Alfa's. Needless to say the GT has received the ultimate care and maintenance over his 27 year ownership. No expense was spared and only the best parts/components were used to maintain and improve the Alfa.

Being offered at "Low Reserve".

Bid with confidence with my 100% positive feedback. International Buyers are welcome to bid on this rare Bertone designed classic coupe.

Mechanically the GT is in turn-key condition and is ready to be driven and enjoyed. The engine compartment is near spotless. The 1750 engine is fully rebuilt coupled with a rebuilt standard split case 5 Speed transmission with updated EP syncros. Fitted with a 1600 intake manifold that has been modified for a pair of Italian made 45 mm DCOE152 Weber carburetors with mechanical linkage. The clutch has been converted to an upgraded diaphragm style clutch using the original 1600 bell housing with a light weight pressure plate. Has Shankle tubular steel headers. Battery has been relocated to the trunk.

Working at the Alfa shop, he owner had the pick of the best of everything at the shop and carefully selected the upgrades based on his desire to make the GT a great reliable Alfa that was a pleasure to drive. Needs no work.

Suspension modifications consist of a Ward & Deane 1 1/16" rear mount front sway bar (original front bar removed), djustable upper suspension arms for setting the camber. A rebuilt 2 L limited slip differential has restacked limited slip plates to achieve more limited slip for better traction. Has a final drive ratio of 9:41. Has upgraded ATE boosted disc brakes all around to replace the original Dunlop brake system. Has 15 inch Panasport Wheels fitted with 195-60R-15 Yokohama tires. It does not have the original steel wheels however the original hubcaps are included.

The interior is in very good condition as shown in the pictures. The Buckskin brown interior is from a 67 GTV. Has near new gray carpeting with the very rare factory gray dashboard. All interior door handles and window mechanisms work properly. There is no radio or ashtray. Fitted with factory 3 point seat belts. Headliner has been replaced and in great condition. All electricals in good working order including all gauges. Heater box recently rebuilt/restored. New brake booster. Original dash restored.

The Body is in very good condition with zero rust. No rust underneath as well. The Alfa underwent a light refresh many years at one of the top restoration shops in town. At that time it was repainted and had the exterior rocker panels replaced. All jacking points are very solid and rust free. Spare tire well is also solid and rust free as well. Body imperfections consist of a ding on the driver's side door and also the lower valance shows several dents. It should be noted that the body is far from perfect and has the normal dings and imperfections from an older repaint. The front mesh grill is from a GT Jr. and the center grill is from a "GTA". Stainless steel front and rear bumpers in excellent condition.

The original 1600 engine and original steel wheels are not available.

**Italian front license plate is included in the sale.

***Also includes the original factory warranty book (fair condition) and what appears to be the first registration.
