Description

30 year old. well preserved GTV-6. Clean and running. Canadian model with Canadian specifications. I bought this and imported from Canada (No issues. by the way). A couple of obvious things since it's a Canadian spec car is that the speedometer is in kilometers. if you like that sort of thing (I do). and I believe the headlight are of a brighter sort. Not aware of others. but there may be. As far as I know. I am the third owner. You'd be the 4th. I have no documentation. Just a guy who enjoyed it. drove it. showed it. took it to Lime Rock once. and maintained it since 2007. The previous owner (owner #2) stated that the car had a "high-quality" paint job done in the early 90's by the original owner (owner #1) because the original paint was not holding up well. The respray was done very well. I presume the trim and bits were removed because very little over-spray is evident. Overall. excellent paint. The Good: - excellent glossy. shiny paint. - excellent tan leather interior- no missing trim- runs great- all electrics work: windows and mirrors- has the "nearly-impossible-to-find" factory optional OZ racing wheels. - had general up-keep and maintenance performed done during my ownership including: - plugs. wires. coil. etc. - had radiator and fans sorted 2 years ago. - had the brakes sorted 2 years ago. including new master cylinder The Bad:- due for a timing belt replacement soon- one rust spot behind the size of 3-quarters front-left wheel should to be addressed. That's the only bit. - weak 2nd gear syncro. (common flaw) Overall:The car is in truly outstanding condition considering it's a 30 year old Alfa. A real driver's car. You don't find many like these anymore. It's is NOT perfect. but in remarkably good shape. It would not require much to become perfect. Why am I selling? Moving on. That's all. Serious inquiries.
