Hi, ust wanted to let everyone know that the rear driver quarter paint looks shinier or different because it was buffed at one point. That is why the stripe is gone. As mentioned in the description, ou can still see where the stripe was because the paint is like new under where the stripe was originally before being buffed off. Since the stripe covered the paint it was never faded by the sun. Basically, till has the stripe outline in original unfaded baby blue paint. The quarter was never damaged. Quarter still has all the original paint. Also, mistakenly put in the description that the carb is an Edelbrock, ut it is a Carter AFB Competition Series. Thanks again.

Description
Hello, have a very nice 1973 AMC Hornet Levi X edition for sale. Original factory 304 V8 and three speed manual transmission car. Sticker on firewall confirms this. The body is the unbelievable thing about this car. I have never seen a nicer rust free body on an AMC. I have had quite a few and this one beats all. Floors, runk, rame structure, nd everything else extremely solid with only surface patina rust here and there. Any rust you can see like above the windshield, n hood, n rear hatch, n sides of car, r down below on doors or quarters is only superficial surface rust. I can find no holes in the car. Inside or out. Came from an arid desert type region. Original baby blue paint and stripes on the car. No dents or body damage and looks to be accident free. You can still tell where the Levi stickers were on each side of the front fenders. The stripe on the rear driver side quarter looks like it was buffed off at some point, ut you can tell the quarter still has the original paint because where the stripe was the paint is nice and shiny since the paint did not fade under the stripe. If you are looking to build a nice Hornet you cannot beat this body. It will save you thousands in body work. If you look under the hood up in the front lip it has a little rust, ut I have an extra rust free hood that goes along with the car. Front Levi seats and door panels are in the car but would have to be reupholstered. Headliner is in nice condition and detailing would make it look great. Dash is nice. Very hard to find an AMC with a nice dash. Most of the plastic interior parts are pretty good. Extra different color interior plastic parts are included to fill in the places where some are missing. Gage cluster not great but there is an extra cluster that looks nice that comes with the car. I have a lot of interior parts that go with the car. Back seat is correct for the Hornet but is brown but is nice and has nice foam. All seats can be redone together to match. Engine is very sound and not burning oil and has a nice even idle. Looks and sounds to have been built with a nicer cam. Has a nice flowmaster type dual exhaust system that looks basically new that makes the car sound tough. It has a nice four barrel Edelbrock that could stand a good cleaning. Has a Mallory aftermarket distributor and a MSD Ignition. Drives well and transmission shifts excellent. Clutch is good. The front brakes were converted to manual big disc brakes, long with the correct master cylinder, ff another AMC. The car does not have working brakes since a line from the distribution valve needs to be run and hooked up to the master cylinder. Ignition starts car but without a key. Car and doors would need to be rekeyed. Could use a new ignition switch since sometimes I hotwire it to start. Steering column is tight but missing a cover. Nice X steering wheel. Some switches are missing and some toggle switches were installed, nd for wiring that needs work I have a complete Hornet wiring harness that goes with the car. Bumpers are beautiful with no damage and the chrome is gorgeous. Plastic covers that go behind front bumper and in front of rear bumper are there. Front plastic is in good shape, ut the rear has holes, s seen in the picture, nd would need to be replaced. No grill, ut they are easy and cheap to find. Glass is good and nice and clear. Neat looking 15” rims almost like the halfmoons on the General Lee car in the Dukes of Hazard. Good tires. It is really a great little optioned Hornet and would be nice to redo or drive. Easiest thing to do is find an old rusted out Hornet and switch over the interior. It will make a very nice car for whoever wins it. If you have any questions, mail with a phone number and I will call you and we can talk. The car is my private car with title in my name. It is for sale locally and the listing can be ended at anytime. I would like to ask anyone that has negative feedback or zero feedback or less than 3 feedbacks, lease email me before bidding. These bidders will be blocked if I am not contacted first. I know there are a lot of new bidders out there and we all have to start somewhere when it comes to getting feedback, o it works great when I talk with the new bidders and learn they are honest people. Thank you very much and good luck.On Oct-21-15 at 18:57:19 PDT, eller added the following information:
