Body:This project Sprite started as an unmolested but typically rusted little British car. The car was placed on a rotisserie, tripped to the bare tub and braced to maintain alignment, ll rusted areas were removed. The car was then trailered to be media blasted to bare steel and epoxy primed, ew replacement panels were welded in as required. The car had never been hit so the body panels required minimal hammer and dolly work. There are no bondo or fiberglass filled holes. The bonnet has been converted to forward tilt, he lower rear sections of the bonnet have stainless steel pins which maintain body alignment, ap & security. The new rocker panels had welded plugs installed into the jacking holes for a smoother look, he rear license plate light holes were also welded closed(the light assembly is included). Once the body work was complete it received several coats of additional urethane primer/sealer. The underside body, onnet, ngine bay, oor interiors and foot wells have been painted with single stage urethane light blue. We had intended to paint the exterior base/clear, ight blue with orange stripes similar to Gulf Oil race cars of the era. The car also has front and rear bumpers and brackets included, hich we did not intend to install. The body is ready for final sanding and exterior paint, verything but the bonnet has been wet sanded with 400 grit. The passenger floor and boot area have foil backed insulation installed with black carpeting. Black carpeting was also glued to the inside of the door for sound deadening. We had also fabricated a custom center console, his will allow a center arm rest, t fits over the tunnel and gear shift housing and continues up to meet the instrument panel( great place for a clock, witches or additional gauges). Panel fitment and gaps are good, he doors open and close/latch smoothly.Interior:As mentioned it has black rugs installed over insulation, he door side pockets are original(not just a flat panel) All of the original interior panels have been refinished black, his even has the original boot side panels installed as well. The seat frames, ack and bottoms are in very nice condition, t even has the original back and bottom cushion padding which is perfectly usable. The original seat coversare included but we obviously intended to recover the seats. Door safety straps are included. The convertable frame and top are included, he top fabric is good with no rips or tears but the vinyl windows are discolored Side windows are in very good condition, luminum frames show very little wear, lastic windows slide nicely and are clear, he rubber seals are soft with no cracking.Engine/Drivetrain:It has the original 948 which has been disassembled and cleaned. It did spin freely when we got the car, pon further inspection it will need a standard rebuild, o scoring in the cylinders, ains and rod bearing journals are smooth but may need .010 regrind to remove discoloration. Starter&generator with tach drive are good. The engine and accessories are complete. Clutch components are there and appear ok but should be changed as routine, rans shifts into all gears,we opened side plate, ll looks good internally. differential is stock, ears look good no excessive clearance or wear.Brightwork:Aluminum cockpit surround is complete, indshield frame has some minor scratches, ide supports have been sanded satin finish, he glass is good, eadlight, ail light, urn signal chrome very nice all lenses in nice shape (will need 1 tail light lense) front grill is present(we were not intending to install it) The front and rear bumpers and mounts are included, hey're straight but need refinishing. It does have a unique aluminum Monza style gas filler(the fuel tank is original, as been cleaned and pressure tested). Fuel quantity sender and gauge test ok. Hub caps and wheels are good, ires good enough for roll aroundSuspension and brakes:All original components with the exception of new rear springs. All original components included, owever the front A arms and brake components were going to be replaced with MG Midget disc assemblies and newer rears as well. Will need new master cylinder and lines.Misc:All original gauges and cockpit switches, riginal steering wheel(nice condition).Radiator cleaned and tested, lower and wipers operate, indshield washer has been deleted, wheels (4 with mounted tires), aynes repair manual. Paint receipts and mix codes are included for an exact exterior color match.Summary:This was a complete and unmolested car(note photo prior to dissassembly) that suffered the typical problems of time and neglect. The rust issues and the time and money required for these repairs has been addressed. The hardest part of this restoration is complete, t is now down to the mechanical reassembly. You can easily have this bugeye ready to hit the road in short order.Transport:I will crate all the loose parts for shipment and mount the tires so the car can be rolled and steer for your pick up, e will assist with loading.
Payment:All funds must clear before pickup or delivery, ash or bank to bank wire transfer

On Dec-08-15 at 14:22:09 PST, eller added the following information:
As shown the front steering/suspension has been loosely reinstalled to allow shipment. Component parts will be loaded into the car where possible, emaining parts will be crated into a wheeled plywood box.
To answer several inquiries: the quickest and least expensive route to completion would be to purchase a Mk3 MG Midget as a donor car for the 1275 engine, ib-case trans, mproved brakes and hydraulics and other componentsas required. The car is available for any inspection prior to bid closing. There is a "Nature Coast British Car Club" in Brooksville Fl. (about 25 south) you could contact them or anyone locally to inspect the car, will make it available at any time.
