Here is a 1970 Austin America. I bought this a while ago with the intention of restoring it and installing a Honda engine. Unfortunately I no longer have a budget to do this project so I must let it go.
This was a manual transmission car but like a lot of Americas it gave up its engine to a Mini. The front subframe is from an automatic car. The odometer shows 40274 miles. The body is remarkably straight and relatively rust-free especially for a northeast car. There are two dents from when my canopy collapsed from snow this winter and some old bondo work in the lower rear corners. The underside and rockers look to be very solid. All of the trim work is there and the chrome bumpers are in pretty good shape. The glass is all good and the interior complete but dirty. The driver seat has some tears but there is an extra seat that is in slightly better shape. The tires are shot but will hold air enough to roll it onto a trailer.
This is a very restorable car with a clear NJ title. It is currently in my shop on a lift for inspection at your convenience or if you want pictures of anything specific please let me know. For more info or picture requests call Carl at 908-413-1418.
The car should be picked up within 2 weeks of auction end and payment can be made in cash at pickup. A $50 deposit is required within 3 days of auction end.
