Up for sale is a 1986 BMW 325, rctic Blue with an automatic transmission. If you’re looking at this auction, ou probably know why enthusiasts of great cars are drawn to E30's! Yes, hey’re classic in look and pedigree. But beyond that, hey’re simply a blast to drive! Even with this vehicle’s autotragic transmission, he combination of a smooth and torquey inline-6 engine with real (not fly by wire BS) steering makes for a great driving experience!

This car was given to me in 2010 by my grandparents, ho bought it in 1986 and garage-kept it all the intermediate years. It was my first car, uite a standout in Miami among all the new BMW’s there, nd now after a lot of loyal service it’s time to let it go. I’m moving somewhere that I’ll need a 4WD, nd want to add as much capital as possible to the STi fund. It pains me greatly to sell something I love as much as this car (its name is Fritz), ut it’s time.

The vehicle is in good shape overall, ut has a few issues that may try to convince you otherwise. It starts up and drives smoothly, nd with a bit of work it could serve as a very polished daily driver or weekend excursion car. The interior is in very good condition (it does sadly suffer from two of the dashboard cracks that so plague E30’s). The aftermarket stereo is a serious affair (a friend who is a musician told me it sounds like a recording studio’s playback monitors). Most importantly, he engine and chassis are in very sound condition. The paint has taken a beating over the years though, nd like any 20-something year old car, his one has its little issues. An itemized summary is as follows:

Good:

-Starts right up; engine runs smoothly and powerfully

-Transmission shifts predictably and well

-Sound system is awesome (Alpine head unit w/iPod cable, B Drive Okur 1000W Stereo Amplifier with 2x 5" speakers in front, x 6" in rear with 4 tweeters, B drive Okur 1500W Subwoofer Amplifier with DB 12" Sub)

-Brand new battery

-Relatively new tires

-Fresh oil change

-Body panels are in good shape, ith no serious dents or rust

-Seats, ash, nd interior trim are in good shape

-Full original toolkit and documentation

-Clean title, nly 2 owners, ever abused or raced

Bad:

-Paint has a lot of UV damage

-Stereo wiring is a bit off, ne side of speakers occasionally cuts out

-Odometer stopped working about 6 months ago (very typical for E30's)

-The back left door lock is jammed

-Left tie-rod and control arm bushings are worn and need replacement

-Brake pads and rotors need replacement

-Left rear window motor needs replacement

-Radiator has a slow leak

-The screws holding the toolkit failed, o while complete, t's detached from the vehicle

-The travel computer sometimes acts strange. Thermometer works well though!

-The washer fluid reservoir cap is missing. An effective, mprovised solution is in place.

-The dashboard has minor cracking (typical), nd the passenger seat has some slight discoloration.

Ugly:

-Nothing! The car has a lot of issues, ut nothing cripplingly wrong with it.
