Description

Selling this BEAUTIFUL 1987 BMW M6. E24. This is the original shark! One of the most beautiful cars ever made and a true joy to drive! This car, ike many it's age, s not perfect. It has it's share of flaws but all of them add to it's immense character! It's not something you will be afraid to drive as it's not a concourse vehicle! Its been driven a lot and should continue to be.
Paint and Body: Very straight body with no dents or dings. Original Red color! Paint is 9.5/10.- Notes: Front windshield had a scratch and window was polished out. Passenger side has some "fog" in it but not worth replacing in my opinion. New owner can replace if it bugs them.
Interior: Interior is beige with grey trim and is beautiful. High-line Leather. Interior on these cars was ahead of it's time! Front two seats have had leather replaced and re-dyed. Rest of the interior is original with some of it re-dyed as well. No rips, ut small and minor scratches here and there. Nothing major and is pretty amazing to look at.-Notes: These cars are known to be temperamental and there are times that certain switches do not work. Just part of owning one of these vehicles.
Motor: Motor is a matching number M88/3 Motor! Original one was blown on the track, o a replacement with 100k miles was put in. Motor now has about 101k miles on it. (odometer shows 205k).
Paperwork: Clean titled California car.
Final notes: This car is beautiful. It has a zender body kit and a few other unique upgrades including exhaust, teering wheel, hit knob, poiler, umper billows, tc. It is not going to win you the concourse as it has been used and not completely babied, ut it's truly one of the fastest, est driving vehicles you will ever drive. I have never had any mechanical issues with the car and it is a real head turner!
Extra notes about these cars:In 1983BMWtook theM88/3six-cylinder engine, modified version of the M88/1 from theBMW M1and put it in theE24 chassisof theBMW 6-Series, reating the M635CSi (called the M6 in North America). The M6 was critically acclaimed throughout its lifespan for its elegant, ggressive "shark-nose" styling, ts luxury equipment, nd its performance. A top speed of 255km/h (158mph)[4]makes the European version the second fastest BMW ever built next to the M1. This is due to all other BMW models being electronically restricted to 250km/h (155mph). However, ug Cunninham BMW ran a bone stock 1987 BMW M6 in the La Carrera Classic Race in Mexico in 1989, nd reportedly recorded a top speed of 283km/h (176mph) indicated. An M6 can be distinguished from other E24 models by a larger front air dam, rear spoiler, BS wheels, olour matching side view mirrors, badges on the grille and back, nd slightly larger front brakes.

InNorth America(United StatesandCanada), he E24 M6 was fitted with thecatalyzedS38B35 motor, roducing 191kW (256bhp) and 329N·m (243lbf·ft) of torque. The non-catalyzed version produced 213kW (286bhp) and 340N·m (251lb·ft) of torque. The non-catalyzed versions were only available in Europe, hough there were 538 catalyzed M635csi models sold in Europe in 1988 and 1989. The 1988 and 1989 the M6 was a "world car" with the same bumpers and aerodynamic treatments in all markets.

The M6 achieved 0–97km/h (0–60mph) time of 6.0 and 6.8seconds for the European and American versions, espectively.

Quarter mile times for the European version have been recorded at 14.5 seconds while 161km/h (100mph) is achieved in 15 seconds. However, ar and Driver Magazine tested the U.S. M6 in July 1987 and achieved a 0–97km/h (0–60mph) time of 6.1seconds.[5]Also in 1987 Road and Track featured the U.S. M6 as one of the 10 fastest cars in America.[6]Production of the M6 ended in 1989, ith 5,859 cars sold, 767 of which were North American (U.S. & Canada) models.
