Description

1988 BMW M5

VIN: WBSDC9309J2875312

Mileage: 164,819

This BMW M5 E28 is quite rare and collectible. These were hand built, with only 2,191 made. North American 1988 models used the S38B35 engine, equipped with a catalytic converter and horsepower up to 256 hp.

This car has clear title and is currently registered and tagged in Maryland. The current owner bought it in Atlanta in 2011. Since 2011, it has had a new clutch and newer used transmission installed, rebuilt drive shaft, interior seats and door pulls (custom dyed, leather matches factory exactly) and a euro leather dash installed. There are extra new parts that come with the car but are not yet installed including: a new Wizard Cooling radiator ($650) and euro bumper,a brand new Plastiflex euro front bumper, new Plastiflex euro rear bumper, euro metal valance, a new set euro indicators with plugs, brand new Plastiflex euro license plate holder, new Plastiflex euroM5front spoilerand new set of OEM BMW euro fog lights.

The odometer stopped working a few years ago at its current reading,164,819. The car runs really well and the AC blows cold. The current owner reports the compression numbers to all be within 10%, with a few cylinders above 200. Leak down test results were 8-14 across the board. The car also has a glass sunroof from Saab and Euro headlights. Below is a list of parts added since 2010:
