BMW 2002 Turbo. The best one on the market today!

Such a cool and iconic car, restored to the highest standards, ready for miles and miles of Sheer driving pleasure or for display in a serious collector garage!

Chassis number 4291468 (one of the latest, only 1672 were built!), this Polaris-metallic example was built in Munich in December 1974, to be registered in France in March of 1975. Enthusiast-owned since then, it was brought to Portugal in 2012. Its condition was acceptable for the street. In order to make it amazing, it underwent a full nut and bolt restoration in 2016.

800! Specialist man-hours we're put into this very car! Everything you see is either brand new or has been rebuilt/refurbished. Only the steering Wheel, gearknob, keys and sparewheel in the trunk we're left untouched!

No cost or effort was spared to bring this car to like new condition. The car has been completely taken apart and has been completely restored. Everything has been done with extreme care and skill. An absolute masterpiece and the best Turbo on the market today. Thanks to many years in great climate (France & Portugal) it's a unique gem. The fully original sheetmetal is in a perfect condition. Perfect shutlines, and a perfectly straight body. The car has been completely taken apart, media-blasted and taken backt to bare metal, to start with a clean-sheet. The Turbo was then painted on its factory color, Polaris silver (060). This has been done perfectly and without any faults. The car was painted outside, inside and underside. The undercarriage ist just as shiny as the top! All trim like rubbers, seals, gaskets, chrome trim, lights, emblems, stickers, mirrors, etc. etc. are all brand new! This car makes a (like) new impression and no cost was spared and 800 man-hours were put in restoring this car!

Technically it has been fully restored too. The original ‘matching numbers' has been rebuilt runs perfectly. With all new bearings, pistons, reground crank etc. All parts are either new or rebuilt. Starter motor, waterpump, alternator, radiator, all hoses and clamps are brand new. The ignition system was rebuilt with all new parts. The injection system has been rebuilt. The Kugelfischer injection pump has been rebuilt. It has rebuilt injectors, all new fuel Lines, new fuelpump. After that the system has been properly tuned to run and idle perfectly.

The axles have been completely taken apart. They have been sandblasted and powdercoated. Then were rebuilt with new plated hardware, all new rubbers joints, bearings, tie rods. Even the steeringrack was taken apart and was rebuilt. It has 4 new Bilstein shocks and 4 new springs.

The clutch and clutch cylinders are new. The 5-speed Dogleg (rare!) gearbox has been completely rebuilt with all new bearings and synchrons. The limited-slip-differential has been rebuilt too.

The braking system has been fully rebuilt with new hoses, Lines, discs, pads, rebuilt calipers, new cylinder, brackets and so forth, and so forth: Like it should. The exhaust system is brand new. The turbocompressor has been rebuilt, there's only one place in Europe that can rebuild this compressor, and that's were we went.

The car sits on a restored set of original Turbo wheels with 4 brand new tires. As you can see and read this car is technically 100% up to date and can be driven right away.

On the inside the car is very original. This the dashboard is crack-free and has the correct (Turbo only) instruments, these were restored as well. Ofcourse it has the extra Turbo instruments with the extra clock and Turbo-gauge. The carpets are original from 1975 and in a great condition. Headliner is new. All rubbers seals such was doorseals, window seals, are all new.

The car comes with all the original 2002 Owners manual, 2 sets of keys, original spare Wheel, a BMW Classic certifcate that proves originality and full restoration documentation.

This car was restored to the highest level, a great addition to any collection! This car is ready for any concourse, and no trailer-queen: This car drives fantastic!

A recent valuation rapport is present. According to the valuator (Member of the German Valuator and Expertscouncil) the condition of the car is a 1 (Perfect) and the value is at €125.000 / $134.000
