Description

Up for sale is my near completed LS1 BMW project I have been working on for the past 6 years or so. The car originally was a 1994 BMW 325IS bought from Dan Deery in Cedar Falls. The car has never been driven in snow so the body is in good shape. There is one little small spot of surface rust on the front right fender. The window trim paint is peeling off and is rusting a little bit as well. However it is not perfect and has the normal wear and tear of a 200. 00+ mile body. It has a few door dings and on the front fender there was a couple spots where the paint peeled off and got covered in touch up to prevent rusting. The LS1 engine has less than 30000 miles on it. I drove the car back from Seattle and it ran fine. I have been driving it every once in a while and it runs fine. There are no leaks to my knowledge however there are a few things it needs to be complete to my standards. I will list those later. So far the car has the following mods done to it. Brake and Suspension and wheelsOZ superleggera wheelsRear subframe reinforcements done. brake balance controller4 piston wilwood big brake kit with slotted rotors in front and backEibach Pro SpringsBilstein shocksTurner Sway BarsTransmission and Rear endSLP short throw shifterT56 has a RAM stage 3 clutch3. 91 Limited slip differential EngineNew Patriot Stage Two Head & Cam pkg. LS6 style heads with 64cc combustion chambers. 227cc intake/70cc exhaust runners and 2. 02" intake/1. 57" exhaust valves. am has a 225°/229° duration at . 050". . 591"/. 583" lift. 112° lobe separation. Patriot Performance Rockers. and new lifters. Custom Magnaflow exhaust. Interior BMW M3 Vader seats in very good condition and M3 luxury package door panels. M3 instrument cluster and a 3 spoke BMW steering wheel I found in Germany during my travels. Replaced all the speakers for the radio and will include the Massive Audio 1000w 10 inch sub with amp. Ok so now for the bad. Sun roof opens but doesnt close easily. Had to tear out the head liner on the sun roof because it was sagging. No cruiseNo heatNo ACPretty sure the reverse shift fork in the T56 is bad and needs to be replaced (pops out of reverse). However it has been temperamental. Sometimes it works fine. Sometimes it doesnt. Think the throwout bearing is on its way out. That has also been temperamental. Sometimes when holding in the clutch there will be a whining sound. But I havent experienced that lately. Car still needs a dyno tune ( AFR is good at cruising speeds but is off during heavy acceleration) Engine runs fine during normal operation. Had to put in slightly bigger heads after the old ones failed. The driver side header is rubbing against the frame under the hood. While idling there is a thudding sound that you can feel in the driver seat. It goes away when RPM's are above 1000. I believe there is a exhaust leak on the headers in the bottom. There is a certain rattling sound at certain RPM's. Its always been that way and either of the two previous problems dont really affect how the car drives. Its just annoying. The spark plug wire number 7 is close to the header and melts unless you have a protective boot around it. Reverse lights not hooked up. Vibration in the wheel going 75mph around right hand curves. Link to build thread on bimmerforums. urrent pictures of the car. ld pictures of the car. ics of the donor car. and a video walk around are available upon request!I still have pretty much most of the receipts and email records and quite a bit of documentation of the build as well. If you have any questions send me a email and we will go from there! The car is not perfect! It is still a project that needs quite a few little things done! But it runs and drives and its all there! The hard parts of the project are already done! Person could buy it and finish it up and keep it a nice street car or gut it. throw in a cage. and sell the interior and turn it into a race. drift. or track car. Or you could part it out and get more in just the suspension. brakes. interior. and drive train alone!Shipping and pick up will be the responsibility of the buyer. Car is sold AS IS with no warranty or return!
