Description

.Up for auction is a very well restored BMW 2002. This is a 1976 2002 and has been built to be one of the best. This car has been under my ownership for over 10 years. During that time it has had a lot of quality restoration and modifications done to it. The car is currently registered and has a clear title in the State of New York. The previous owner lived in New York and that's who I purchased it from. Not sure of the exact actual mileage. The car however came from Arizona. This is a very solid straight and rust free car. The car was taken apart and re-painted the factory BMW color of Mint Green about 10 years ago and the paint has been taken care of since then. At the same time the paint was done the front and rear bumpers were shortened. When the car was re-assembled everything that needed it was either rebuilt professionally or replaced with factory BMW parts. The suspension was modified with Tokico strut assemblies in the front. These are adjustable and lower the front end. The rear has Bilstein shocks and has the stock springs. The brakes were upgraded to BMW 528 Vented discs and four-piston calipers. The rear has upgraded drums from a BMW 320i. The Engine was rebuilt about two years ago. Close attention to detail was paid when rebuilding it. The rebuild currently has less than 1000 miles on it. The engine was completely disassembled and rebuilt. The block was cleaned honed and decked by a professional machine shop. The crank rods and pistons were then balanced. The engine was rebuilt with the stock crank rods and Tii "Piano Top" pistons. When assembling the bottom end everything was plasti gauged to make sure all the tolerances were correct. The list of new parts on the motor include; piston rings oil pump(out of an E30 M3) timing chain water pump drive belt fan spark plugs spark plus wires engine mounts freeze plugs radiator radiator hoses re-manufactured Bosch Alternator and Starter and much more. The head was rebuilt using stock size valves valve springs and vale retainers. The rocker shafts and rockers were also replaced with factory pieces. The springs that keep the rockers in place were replaced with high performance "rocker locks" from Ireland Engineering. The camshaft and gear are also from Ireland Engineering. The camshaft is a 292 degree billet unit. The intake side has been upgraded with a Weber 38 Carburetor. The exhaust side has been modified with an Ireland Engineering Header and full Stainless Steel Exhaust system. The transmission has been upgraded to a unit from a BMW 320i. The gear oil was changed. The clutch slave cylinder was also replaced with a new unit as well as the line. The engine was broken in with the correct oil and then converted to synthetic. The engine runs very strong and has great oil pressure. The transmission shifts very well. The interior was restored extremely well. The upholstery was done be a professional shop. The seat frames were plated and new padding and material went on them. The carpet was replaced with a new kit. The door panels were cleaned and re-dyed. The steering wheel was upgraded with a beautiful wood BMW wheel. The headliner and visors are original and are near-perfect. The center console has an after-market radio speakers on the rear deck and power amp in the trunk. The dashboard is near-perfect as well. The car has the dash clock option and also mounted an oil pressure gauge to it. This being a southern car originally came equipped with factory air condition. Currently the evaporator is in the car and works. It was rebuilt by a professional vintage air conditioning company. The rest of the air conditioning parts are off but come with the car. The rest of the parts come with the car. The compressor bracket is already mounted to the motor. The wheels on it are the BMW BBS basket weave wheels. Included is the BBS center cap wrench. These wheels are fourteen inch and have Falken Ziex tires in the size of 185/60 R14 mounted to them. These tires only have about 1000 miles on them. The spare tire is also a brand new Falken tire in the same size but a different model. No expense was spared on the restoration and modification of this car. I have all of the receipts for parts labor and maintenance for the car since I've owned it. This car does need a few minor things. The interior needs a few fit and finish touches. The driver's side window works but has a bit of a hitch when going up. The accelerator pedal is sticking so the car will come with a brand new pedal box rebuild kit. The car could use some minor rust repair and paint work. The car also has a minor oil leak coming from the driver's side axle seal on the differential. This is a great car and is ready to be driven and used. This car will allow you to just jump in and go! This is one of the best opportunities to own one of these classic automobiles. Buyer is responsible for arranging shipment. Help will be available if needed to load the car. A deposit of $500 is due within 24 hours of auction close. Please feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for looking and happy bidding!

I apologize but I forgot to mention that the driver's door needs a new door break and needs slight adjustment. But other than that the door works fine and the gaps are good. Thank you.
