THE BODY AND TRIMThe exterior of this 1974 BMW is in decent. straight 99. 9% rust-free condition. As you can see in the photos. it has a matte black finish to the paint with trim delete [this is how I got the car]. It is very close to 100% rust-free with excellent shock towers [which is very crucial on these cars]. The front badge is worn and needs re-glue. the wheels could use new emblems. the tires have good tread and all glass intact in good shape with some blemishes in the windshield. The front bumper is also slightly tweaked and the right rear window slides down on its own and I cannot seem to get into the trunk. THE INTERIORThe interior of this Bavaria is in decent quite original condition overall with some obvious patina. The vinyl dash has some heat cracking. the REAL WOOD trim has some blemishes. the door panels are nice original. nbsp; the seat upholstery is decent but could use some new stuffing. the headliner is in respectable condition with working crank sunroof. factory air conditioning console. the radio is inop as are the odo. goofy shift knob. speaker holes in the kick panels. some wear on the original blue loop carpeting and various other niggly defects to be addressed. THE DRIVING EXPERIENCEThis classic BMW sedan starts well and has a strong engine. smooth shifting transmission and decent braking. The carbs need adjusting at minimum as the car is cold-blooded. sputtering and holding back from full acceleration. the shocks and suspension components are worn and mushy.
