Description

This car was built by Jarred Company, f Summit, L. They manufactured fiberglass kits, ut also sold complete cars. I am the third owner, nd have owned it for 11 years. The original owner passed it on to his son-in-law, ho sold it to me. This has been a fun car, t attracts a lot of attention, nd people love it. But, t this point, y kids are grown, don't use it very much, tc. and it's time to move it along to the next owner.
The car was manufactured in 1974 on a 1969 VW platform. Unusually for these cars, t comes with a removable full windshield (with windshield wiper) and a removable vinyl top and side curtains. I have never used any of these, o have no idea of their usable condition or operation. The odometer reads 1820 miles. I assume this it the mileage since it was built in 1974. Presumably, he 1969 VW had some amount of usage before it was modified, o I don't know the total mileage on the chassis and engine.
Overall, he car is in good condition and looks good.It has always been kept garaged during my ownership. It is 41 years old, o it's not perfect. For example, here is some damaged paint on the rear fenders, aused by attaching and detaching the fender struts for engine access over the years; the dashboard has some ripples, robably from past water exposure; the temperature gauge is disconnected because it was draining the battery; and some of the chrome has seen better days. The biggest thing needed is new tires. The existing bias plys appear that they are probably original. They are dry and cracked, tc. I have considered radials, r converting to Model A wheels and tires. But, he car is so light, nd I drive it so little distance, hat I never followed through on getting new ones. I have tried to reflect the overall condition of the car in the photos.
I have all the service slips from my time of ownership. I have had all the work done by a local shop that specializes old VW's. I also have some (water damaged) literature from the Jarred Company, he original invoice, ther documentation, tc. Also included is a good quality car cover, VW Haines manual, nd a couple of miscellaneous parts.
I have title documents from the last owner in Connecticut signing ownership over to me. The State of Maine does not issue title documents for cars this old, o probably the best I will be able to provide for documentation is a notarized bill of sale. The car is also for sale locally, o I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells. Thanks for looking.

A couple of things I neglected to mention: You may have noticed there is a radio/tape player in the dashboard. I have never tried to turn it on, nd I doubt it works in any way. I have never noticed any speakers. If you want a sound system for the car, ou should plan on installing a new one. At least the dash opening is there. On the bright side, had an on-board trickle charger for the battery installed a couple of years ago.
I noticed that there have been a couple of zero feedback bidders. I am now excluding zero feedback bidders unless you contact me directly to confirm you are sincerely interested in purchasing the car.
