Description

Are you looking for that unmolested low mile survivor 1929 Buick 29-26S Series 116 Special Coupe Project? This is it... a local barn find Buick 29-26S that has been in the same family since the 1950s. Please review all photos and item description before bidding.

This classic survivor spent much of its life stored in a garage in Big Bend, WI in Texas and is a fairly original vehicle. It looks like it was probably redone at some point a long time ago but it is super solid as you can see. Below is a video collection of the car:

Condition Report:

This vehicle has been fairly well maintained over the years but will need everything from hoses, belts, radiator recore, tires and a host of other work as it needs to be reconditioned from age. The battery is new, the paint is shiny and is an above average paint job done before base coat clear coat. While it in good condition for the age, it is not without imperfections, especially on the hood.

The interior is starting to show wear and needs a good cleaning. The dash gauge frame is not original but these show up from time to time on eBay. There is no broken glass and it appears to be complete.

The headlights and tail lights need work, as does the horn. It does run fairly well, especially when considering the age but the radiator leaks and we did not run it more than a few minutes as we did not want to have it overheat. The transmission shifts a it should, and the brakes do work but should be serviced due to age.

Please note that the title appears to state it is a 1928 and the VIN number appears to be a number not found. It is a free and clear title and with many of these very old vehicles, the numbers don't make sense. It is the title that has been part of this vehicle for 60+ years. You can apply for a correction to the title at your own risk. It is being sold with the title shown and bill of sale.

To summarize, it is our opinion that this antique Buick would be a very nice addition to anyone collection but should be considered a project vehicle and is being sold as-is-where-is. It would make a great project for the Buick enthusiast, father and son or weekend mechanic.

On May-27-16 at 09:48:55 PDT, seller added the following information:

It appears we have solved the VIN number mystery. The VIN number on the title is the casting number of the engine. As stated earlier, it would be solely the responsibility of the buyer to have any VIN or model year correction made if desired. Best of luck in the auction.
