Description

1953 Buick Special

I will be listing a few cars here in the next week or two for my family. We are reducing are number of cars, so please see my other listings as well. I am not a dealer.

Just a beautiful original car that has been well cared for by the previous owners. We had plans to drive and show this car on a regular basis, but sometimes life has other plans, and we have decided to sell it to someone who we hope will give it a good home ... Very hard to find this year and model, especially with POWER STEERING.

Details/Features:

  • 263ci "Fireball" Straight 8 Engine
  • Dynaflow Transmission (Automatic)
  • Power Steering
  • Deluxe Radio
  • Dash Clock
  • Wide White Wall Tires
  • Day/Night Mirror
  • Beautiful Inside and Out
  • Detailed Engine and Trunk Compartments
  • Recent check up, tune-up, etc.

The engine idles well, makes good power, and starts easy every time (even if it sits for a week). The transmission operates smoothly at all speeds. Steers and stops very nicely. Drives straight down the road with no unusual vibrations, pulling, noises, etc. This car is very easy to drive with the power steering! A pleasure to own and drive.

This Buick is just a nice original car everywhere you look (exterior, interior, engine compartment, trunk, etc). Nice body and under-carriage. Doors open and shut with a nice THUD. Windows roll up and down nicely. The paint is older with some chips/flaws present, but still looks great for the survivor it is. The rear bumper appears to have been re-chromed. Nicely detailed engine bay and beautiful original trunk compartment. This car would lookgreat at all your shows and cruise-ins. You would be hard pressed to find another one like this. Please see the photos and ask what questions you have.

The mileage of 29,600 is not documented, so I can not be 100% sure it is correct. That said, it has the look of a low mileage car. It has always been garaged and cared for.

What is the car worth??

NADA Classic Car Guide shows a "High Retail Value/Condition" of $31,400

Asking price is well below the value shown above. I also reserve the right to end the listing early at any time for the right offer. The car could be for sale locally as well.
