Description

1935 buick model 58 stored inside since at least the mid 60s.original color was black.somewhat restored in the 60s/70s.laquer paint has cracks/peeling.car ran fine when i bought it 2-3 yrs ago in fact the previous owner had installed new points/plugs and had the fuel pump rebuilt.ran off a small tank under the hood as the original tank had been soaked in apple cider vinegar for cleaning but developed some pinholes on the drivers side.drove it onto a trailer when i bought it and in and out of my garage when i was cleaning the floor pans and undercarriage..haven't ran in over a year as the carb started dripping after turning the car off.known missing parts are 1 rear side glass and roller shade,1 running board molding, door sill moldings,1 lower gas tank strap is broke at the threaded end,1 pair of bucket seat pivot brackets(the seat half are on the seat),rr inner fender bracket interior was partially redone yrs ago but not installed except headliner and i removed it to inspect roof wood which is very nice and to paint all the metal..floor pans were removed(after 80 yrs every screw came out with a flat head screwdriver)/cleaned rustmort treated/primed/painted floor pans. forward edge of wood trunk floor had some ply separation and was glued/clamped before re-installing floor pans.only rust repair i found was the very bottom lip of rockers where they meet the running boards.there is a small area of rust at the lip of the trunk rain gutter on the pass side. runningboards are solid fenders have some bondo and some brazed cracks but are solid.rear skirt of car arrow straight.bumpers most likely rechromed at some point still very presentable.tail lights and hood ornament are very nice structural wood very nice shape.interior handles/escutcheons rechromed.having been largely disassembled at some point and kept inside since bumper/fender/runningboard,etc bolt removal is no problem.i'm sure tires are old but hold air/are not cracked with very little if any tread wear. car has a lot going for it is somewhat rare (search ebay item142228174767 in sold listings)and a great candidate for resto/streetrod.feel free to ask questions or inspect the car in person before purchase.clear tennessee title in my name in hand.tony 931 433 5593 a few more notes.paint missing at the wiper holes/ along the frontline of the roof canvas edge and by the drivers side rear glass is where someone had used duct tape when transporting. the primer remains.the headlight buckets have some hood dents at the back not terrible but they are there.someone drilled out the ign keyhole at some point. has a nice and so far as i know correct buick heater,3 pairs of 34-35 buick sunvisors 2 extra original hubcaps
