Description
1933 Buick Model 86 Victoria Sedan.Car is for sale Locally so I reserve the right to end the Auction early if the Car sells locally before the Auction is over.Wheel Base is 130 inches.344 CID Overhead Valve Straight Eight Engine.4600 pounds there abouts if memory serve.Car has been sitting since the 1950s and other than for the prior owner putting on some new Denman Tires and some new Spark Plug Wires and a Coil to Distributor Wire back when it appears all 'Original' to my Eye ( which was why I got it in the first place! ) Still has what is left of a 1934 Chicago Vehicle Inspection Decal center top of the Windshield.Coil itself looks "original".I got this Car about 12 years ago spent a day prepping it and drove it home.It ran great tremendous power and torqueacceleratedsuper smoothly from a dead stop in 'Third' Gear.Ran very well with no smoke no vibration no noise.Oil Pressure was good.PLEASE NOTE ! Car has various parts removed for cleaning and is not able to be driven presently. Gas Tank ( which is excellent no seepage no holes or dents ) is off...Manifolds are off...) So we can not do any Drives around the block.Headliner is present but somewhat saggy and holey over the Passenger Seat area.Foot Rail in rear is intact hinged well and is not broken.Transmission is super smooth and quiet as is the differential.Original Interior.Body appears to me to still be in original Paint.Fenders have dents and creases and have been touched up through the years.Front Bumper is good and no damage.Rear Bumper was broken on one end when I got the Car and I got a good rear Bumper to put on but had not put it on yet.So comes with a good Rear Bumper.Rear Mount Spare has no Cover but does have the Factory Spare Tire Lock and Plate.OnceI had the Car home I began to do some of the usual things to put it on the Road -I cleaned and Greased all the Zerk Fittings I could find.I removed the Gas Tank drained it flushed it out. Gas Tank had about 12 Gallons of ancient Gas in it but no seeping and no rust I could see no rust holes top or bottom.I drained the Gas Tank did a little swooshing and cleaning inside and have not re-installed it.Gas Tank Hanger Straps are excellent no twists or bends.I removed the Side Cover on the Engine Block to clean out the Water Jacket there.Side Cover has some rust through but it still fine and sturdy all around it's edges.I removed the Intake and Exhaust Manifolds and Carburetor.Carburetor was fine excellent even...like brand new inside.Intake manifold is perfect.Exhaust Manifold is a three piece affair and parts of the Spigot-ends of the middle piece were broken as usual with these Engines. The rest of the middle piece is fine. The two side pieces of the Exhaust Manifold are fine excellent no cracks or breaks.Water Distribution Tube has an old Solder repair where the Heater Hose would connect and also has some damage or is 'thin' at the big end where the main Hose would connect.Dashboard andInstrumentsare excellent. The thin little Gaskets of some of theInstrumentshave shrunken and are showing through the Glass.InstrumentGlass is curved Glass and all are perfect what may look like cracks in the Glass of the Gauges are the old thin Gaskets which have shrunk and pulled in.Interior appears "Original" to me and is quite intact if showing its age somewhat.Seats are very comfortable and Fabric is still supple and not brittle.Tail Lights and theirStanchionsare in a Box with other odds-n-ends.Please contact me for additional images showing all the things I have described above. I can only put 12 images in the listing and 12 is not enough.Crank Hole Cover is present.Crank is correct and original and is under the Back Seat in the Tool storage compartment.Doors open and close "Like a Bank Vault" and are very sturdy...no play or sag.Body itself is very good with virtually no issues or damage.Fenders and Runningboards have dents creases and dings. The only Rust I find is in the tiny rib line between Door and Runningboard on the passenger side. Driver side in that spot is fine.I had removed the sheet metal splash Pan piece which is down low and between the front Fenders and the open center area in the front in order to access behind that area for cleaning and getting some Zerks going and that piece of Sheetmetal was bent and will need to be straightened ( again will show this in detail in additional images ).Shift Knob was/is the "Padded" one and it is somewhat squishy even yet and is a little deteriorated and still "Live".Passenger side Door Roll-Up Window is broken.Drive's side Door Window rolls up and down just fine. Some of the other Window Glass is de-laminated and or Sun Yellowed.Steering is tight and excellent.I greased the Wheel Bearings.Brakes have not been adjusted or cleaned but they do work ( Mechanical Brakes on this Car of course ).I had to set the Buick work aside soon after beginning with it because of needing the room in my Work Shop for other things and I never was able to get back on it.Now it is your turn to take things from here and do the old Girl justice.PLEASE NOTE -Car must be picked up within ten days of close of Auction and or buyer agrees to $15.00 a Day Storage for additional days...which Storage must be paid in cash before Car or its Title will be released.Payment for the Car itself must be made and received in full within five days of close of Auction.$1000.00 ( non-refundable in event of default with the rest ) Deposit via PayPal must be made within 48 Hours of Auction close with the balance due to be paid in Cash either in person or via some Currier or other service within five days of auction close. Please talk with me about how you are going to pay.In other words have it together follow through properly...that way everything is clean easy clear for us both.If you need more time once paid to get the Car transported I would be glad to work with you particularly if you communicate with me about it beforehand. If this means I have to pay for a Tow and for enclosed Storage this will be passed on to you to re-reimburseme.If picking up locally within the 5 day Pay time frame Balance of payment may be made in person. Please communicate if you are serious or if you win this Auction.Any questions let me know?Any additional images you may want just let me know.pdp1( the fourth character is a numeral 'one' and not a lower case L )atearthlinkdot netBest wishes!I love my old Buick and I hate to see it go so I hope one of you out there will be a good home for it..!PhilLas Vegas
