Description

This 1964 Riviera was a life-long Arizona car until moving to Wisconsin a few years back. I own a very high-end restoration shop and it is my personal car, nd I purchased it after a many year search to find a 1963-1965 Riviera that was not a rusted out, atched together piece of junk.

The body on this car is exceptional. Other than some very minor rust on just the lower (outer) rear quarter panels on both sides (pictured) there is not an ounce of corrosion on this car. The floors, rame, enders, oors, runk floor, nd every nut and bolt on the car are not just "rust free" they are Arizona car rust free. I've posted some pictures to give you an idea of how clean and dry this car is, ncluding the trunk floor under the mat where you can see it is still shiny blue paint from the factory. An hour with a power washer underneath this car would remove the layer of Arizona dirt you can see and expose flawless original metal. The panel fit is also exceptional, here is only one small "bump" near the right rear corner you can see in the pictures, nd the rear bumper is tweaked so that needs to be pressed back into shape. The chrome and stainless is all very good and just needs a polish for a driver level restoration.

The paint is the weak part, t is typical Arizona crispy. The car needs paint, n easy job given how straight and dead solid it is, ut, et's not kid ourselves here the paint sucks. I could have painted it but I wanted to sell it just like this so everybody can see there is nothing to hide on this car.

I have replaced the carpet, estored the seats with all new foam, ute, nd new correct seat covers. The headliner is original and needs to be replaced, nd the dash pad has cracks in it from the sun and needs to be repaired or replaced. The door panels, ll the glass, auges, onsole, adio, tc are all in great shape. Everything works, ncluding the Speed Minder, ll lights, urn signals, tc. except the radio and clock.

Mechanically the original engine runs very well, trong, o smoke, o noises. It has been tuned and has all fresh fluids. The radiator has been recored and the carb rebuilt. The entire fuel system, ncluding the tank, as been cleaned and overhauled including Ethanol safe hoses and fuel pump. The entire braking system has been gone through, ll new wheel cylinders, hoes, epacked bearings, oses, aster, tc. There are 4 new radial whitewall tires on the car. The battery is new. The A/C is all there but I have never charged it. The car runs strong and cool, tops as it should, nd handles great. It is really a great driving Riviera.

In summary the hard stuff has been done, he car is as straight and solid as you will ever find, nd you could drive it home. It needs paint, headliner, rear bumper, n engine compartment and trunk detailing, nd basic elbow grease to make it one of the best 1964 Rivieras on the road. Please note it is also in one of the best color combinations of all and would be quite stunning with a fresh coat of paint.

This is an opportunity to buy one of the best Milestone classic cars of all time and, ith a little work, ave a car worth far more than your investment. These first generation Rivieras are on every list of top collector cars and are virtually ageless. Their styling is among the best of all time and their road manners are incredible. Ok, better stop typing before I talk myself out of selling!
