Description

Please READ the description, OOK st the PICTURES .... PLEASE DO NOT bid if you do not intend to pay!

Model 41D. This is quite a solid car, ell worth making into a great street cruiser [ah, aybe to restore.] Apparently it was someone’s toy and was registered as an antique up to a dozen or so years ago at which time it appears to have been involved in a small accident in the left front side. Now the left doors are from a ’39 but the dented ’40 doors (Pictures) are still with the car and may be repairable, o the proper door handles are there. Repairs were not completed.

The body is mostly solid, ery little rust for a 75 year old and with only a few dings and dents. Even the door & deck lid hems look good. AFAICS the floor pans are solid. (Pictures) It has some rust on the frame at the back before the kick-up (Pictures) where it appears to have stood on the ground for quite some time. The lower corner of the left ‘A’ pillar, loor & rocker are accident damaged. (Pictures) Right side is good. The center ‘B’ pillar on the driver side is slightly bowed outward (picture) so the doors, lthough they do latch, o not quite close at the roof & floor. Rust damage at right rear ‘dog leg’ (Picture); Left dog leg(Picture)and both the 'B' pillars are pretty good. Most of the glass is in usable condition, he vent panes, ot so much.

It has what appears to be the original engine & transmission (Pictures) and while there are no manifolds the engine does turn (NOT stuck) and has no noticeable cracks in the castings. The original oil bath air cleaner (Picture) is still there. My past experience tells me it will probably run.

The original upholstery is there, Pictures) covered by worn out seat covers, amp; in good condition with only 1 place where there is a 3 corner tear which could be restored. The carpeting is totally shot. The door upholstery is there but in poor condition (Pictures).

What it does not have is brakes (so what? you will want to install disc brakes anyway) it does not have lower front control arms (so what? You will be clipping the front end or putting in a Mustang II kit when you install a V8 engine anyway) It does not have bumpers (so what? Everyone removes bumpers) It does not have a radiator (so what? You’ll want a new one for that V-8) it does not have an old rusty gas tank.It does not have original wheels. .Unfortunately, t does not have a hood, rille or left front fender (OK, ow you will need to do some shopping for a ¾ left front clip)

The tires & wheels are enough to roll it onto a trailer but not good enough to tow. Buyer is responsible for the removal and will have to send a truck or trailer to transport this vehicle. Help loading will be available.

This car is in outdoor storage at this time. It is for sale on an ‘as is, here is’ basis and it is being offered in other venues so I reserve the right to end this sale at any time. Bill of sale will be provided, s there is no title. I have done my best to give an accurate description however; NO warranty is either offered or implied. There is a moderate reserve price to insure my expenses are covered.

Thanks for looking and Happy Bidding!
