1955 Cadillac Coupe DeVille Series 62 Hardtop Original Unrestored Barn Find Project offered by Gas Monkey Garage with . ! For 1955 the Series 62 Hardtop Coupe was redesigned and the Coupe Deville would be the epitome of famed designer Harley Earl. The chromed bumper was the beginning of the unmistakable Cadillac styling that flowed down the sides into the interior and continued to the rear deck lid and finally out the rear bumper exhaust outlets! I found this Iconic Cadillac Coupe DeVille having been stored in a barn that wasn’t exactly weather proof by the previous owner since 1993. The result is we have here: a fairly straight body with a few dents and dings covered in a kick ass patina but having not been spared the dreaded rust weevil (see all pics). The car is fairly solid with rust perforation present mainly in theleading edge of the rear wheel openings and the passenger rear floor also has perforation. The rest of the body as well as most under body components have superficial rust that should not present too much of an issue if you choose to restore this car to its former glory! The interior is fairly complete as well with all of the glass in good, sable condition making the restoration process straight forward.
