(the best yr for Caddys)
LOW reserve
probably one of the most desirable cars being restored and fixed up
in the last few yrs, nd one of the best yr looking Caddys ever made..
this is one car I really hate to sell. But if we do we do.
MOVIE CAR: these cars are used alot in movies like GOODFELLAS
or A BRONX TALE and look great on the big screen and even better
in person !
Its always been an car thats shown signs of class and wealth
and still is today, f not more so.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
19,158 built OVER 50 yrs ago. here is an un-restored survivor.
How many are left on the streets ? less then 500 maybe ? hard to say.
THIS IS NOT A RESTORED CAR but it has had at least one repaint about
35 yrs ago, he same original color.
But if you buy it right and dump a few k into it, oull have a car worth
well over 30k in the end, nd its value, ill only go up each yr.
Its an 59 Caddy that has been in Az as far back as we can track
It looks okay in the pics, ut the paintjob isnt horrible, ut it is showing
its age when you get closer to it. There is a scuff no the LF fender and
mild surface rust on some of the sharp edges. Its been parked mostly
inside much of its life, ut the paint could probably use a good buff
job and detailing would help alot.
The padded dash cracked and split a few yrs ago, nd the last owner pulled
the dashpad out with intentions on re-doing it. He never got a chance to.
.. but rest of the interior not so bad.. It could
be a daily driver. It was parked for about 6m with the gas tank drained.
We put gas in it and a battery and after a few cranks, t fired right up.
Ive driven it a few miles around the shop but I really dont trust the tires.
With a nice set of tires (and maybe rims while you are at it for some
resto-mod look) maybe some Mobsteel 20" rims.. it could be a daily.
Its fun to cruise around in and attracts all sorts of attention just sitting
or moving. Even the interior is very presentable as is.
Its a FUN beautiful car as is with lots ofpotential for whatever your plans
would be. Ive even thought of renting it out for weddings etc with me
being the driver of course.
DONT BID UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FUNDS IN HAND, pparently some people
who use ebay arent smart enough to understand the rules.
So if you have under 10 feedbacks, ll be emailing you if you bid to
make sure you are legit, f we do please reply or we will cancel your bid.
Up for Auction: LOW FAIR RESERVE !!!
These cars are getting harder to find esp in this condition
that are still affordable to most buyers.
DRIVETRAIN: this car has its factory 390 big block V8 and the motor
runs and drives nice. Transmission feels good too, lthough there is a small
trans fluid leak. I top it off every few weeks. I believe some motor work was
done about 10 yrs ago on the car, ut the car hasnt been driven much either
in the last 20 yrs. It was pulled out of retirement a few months ago and made
road worthy again.
INTERIOR: take a look at the pics, he interior of this car is pretty well
worn out and probably the first thing you would want to repair. It seems
very complete and the chrome isnt too bad of shape. I think with help I
can get all 4 PW up and down, ut they will probably need some work there
too. The power seat works.LOTS of chrome inside these cars and
even for this cars condition, ts pretty nice looking .
Popular these days). So the interiors needs some work, ut guess it depends
on how you look at it. Floors seem very solid
Seeing as this car has been in AZ for most of its life, t has less rust then
most 50 yrs old cars, nd less rot. The metal dash pad will need to be redone
and installed for a more finished look. It currently is just sitting on the top
part of the dash loosly with some things disconnected.
EXTERIOR:the body and paint on this car in my opinion pretty nice but
the pics do make it look better if you ask me. Im also a little more picky
then some owners. Again, 5 yr old paint job, ll the chrome and stainless
are really nice for their age. Not perfect but great for a car this old thats
NOT BEEN restored.
Front windshield and side glass all in good shape, hink i saw one star on the
front windshield. Spare tire and wheel
is missing in the trunk, ut jack etc looks all intact. Rear lights work, ut need
to figure out why the headlights are not working. Trying to check that out this
week. I did notice the headlight bezels where loose, o I tightened them up
but there are a few headlight adjusters broken and a few of the headlights seem
to bee loose in the buckets.
SUSPENSION:the suspension feels like a big tuna boat, ut really it still
rides like a Caddy and the tires are in decent shape too. No weird noises coming
from the car while gliding down the road, ut Im sure its going to need some
bushings replaced in the near future because its not restored and of its age.
At least for now, ou can still hop in and drive it around town.
Minimal rust under the car, aking taking this car apart, lmost a breeze !!
Check out ALL the pics below ----->
it may take a full minute for them all to load ifyou have a
slow connection, o be patient AND looks for the extra scroll
bar on the right side.
Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain and Az very dry climate.
more infoAFTER the pics etc. There are 100 large pics.
There you have it, robably The BEST represented Cadillacs on Ebay.
Shows you all the good as well as any bad, ope you appreciate them.
We put a lot of time and effort in marketing our cars and it shows.
People wait months for a car this solid to come up for sale
and even if you have to pay shipping to your area, t still beats
paying a body shop to hopefully fix a rusty car for weeks on end.
Having as much as the original steel on a restored car these days
speaks volumes. This is NOT OUR MOST RUST FREE CAR we have
sold over the years, ut its still better then most out there for sale
or bondo-ed up to look restored.
I DONT KNOW WHATS UNDER THIS OLD PAINT JOB, nd it may have
had some repair work done yrs ago, ts just too hard to tell.
I can tell you though, f you look down the sides of this car on both
Sides, dont see tons of waves running down the body like some cars
there are a few bubbles starting near the rocker areas though.
So expect some rust on the car during repaint and some repairs over
the yrs. Its still so clean, f the car doesnt sell, m okay with that too
because Id love to keep it its that nice.
Also, f you buy a car thats been "restored", ho knows what sort
of surprises are hidden under new paint or thick undercoating.
People are flipping cars all the time when most of the jobs are
fast, or a quick buck and quality suffers.

On Jan-06-16 at 11:03:03 PST, eller added the following information:
UNDER DRIVETRAIN:
it says that there is a small transmission leak, hat is wrong. That was from a previous CADDYwe sold and a mistake. Other then normal residual oil from maybe the motor I have seen no evidcnceof a trans leak or the need to add fluid every few weeks just for the record.
WHAT I did notice today driving the car up to the Quick Trip, he power brake booster may be goingbad. It looks original too. But the brakes work fine, ut they dont seem to have the Power Booster functionlike it use to. Probably couldnt hurt to pull off all the drums and check the system before making ita daily driver, ut the last owner did keep up with normal maintance and repairs on the car.
Also, cant say for sure if the motor was every rebuilt or even been apart to be honest. That was also from a previous car we sold and the description didnt get changed in time.
But this motor sounds and runs very well like its suppose to and looks all original
