WellI'msure no expert on Cadillac's, ut a friend of mine died 5 years ago, nd he had big plans to restore this 1961 4 door hardtop someday.He owned it for many years, nd was the second owner.It's mine now and I am selling it.This is what I know, nd ashonestlyas I know it...The car has sat idle in a car-port for the last 5 years or so. (it was running and driving fine, hen it was parked away intostorage).It's dirty from sitting, nd just how Ireceivedit. The car is all original and very un-molested.Before he stored it, e put an automotive rust inhibitor on it.That's why it is black and so ugly.Underneath Is the original lavender/rose color.The brakes are low from sitting, ut with some fresh fuel and a new battery it would probably start right up?It has all the usual goodies, nd even a few extras such as...dimmer eye, ower- steering, ir-conditioning, ower seats, ender skirts, ide witewalls, ruise-controll, tc.
It's sure not perfect, nd somewhat of a project car, ut it would make a neat daily driver as it is, r perhaps be a candidate for restoration? I have tried to take good pictures so you can see its overall condition. (the trunk-floors-engine compartment etc. are excellent). It's a Colorado car, nd that's always a plus.(dry climate).
This Cadillac is 55 years old and being sold as-is.
My opening bid is $1,500 with no reserve.(it needs a new home and it can't stay here).
I would much rather you plan for the worst and hope for the bestthanbedisappointedin any way. Now... all this having been said... I can't imagine finding a more original and un-molested 1961 Cadillac like this, or the price.I only want the buyer to be as excited as I was when it came my way.I think that the next owner will be very pleased with it.
