This excellent condition Series 62 Cadillac features the rare and attractive four-door sedan assembly. The vehicle is finished in a handsome two-tone color scheme complemented with chrome trim, classically enlarged fender skirts, and wide white-wall tires. The 1942 Cadillac line featured the highly developed and robust 346 Mono-bloc ci V8 engine which produced 150 brake horsepower. Transmission on this vehicle is a three-speed selective synchromesh manual. A total frame-off restoration was completed in 2000.
The driver is greeted by an aircraft-inspired pod containing a speedometer, a gas gauge, and a temperature gauge as well as an impressive steering wheel. The luxurious and inviting interior includes well fitted upholstery, and the dashboard features a rich wood grain finish. A push button-operated AM radio is incorporated into the bright chrome speaker grille, and a clock is mounted to the passenger side of the dashboard.
