Description

This is a beautiful all very low mileage (45k....said to be original miles) 1964 Cadillac Coupe DeVille 2 door hardtop. The exterior is silver, the interior is black leather. This car is an original California car and has ZERO rust. Never had any. It was well maintained by the elderly owner who recently passed. He brought it to Colorado for the past two years where it remained in a garage. His family brought it back to California to sell. It is bone stock with a 429ci with automatic. I drove it to my house and it cruised as nice at 70mph as it did at 25mph. No smoke. You will be hard pressed to find another original 1964 as clean as this one. The interior is absolutely stunning. The body is nice and straight. The paint is presentable but shows some fading on the roof, hood and trunk. All brand new white sidewall tires. Everything is there, including the shop manual and original vintage California blue plates he had on the car "6CAD4". I will try to answer any questions to the best of my ability. $500 non-refundable deposit due at closing. All pictures are recent. I will try to post a short video as well. I will provide a link when it's up. I will retain the right to end the auction at ANYTIME due to the car being for sale locally.

Shipping is the responsibility of the new owner. I can assist with loading onto the car hauler of course. Local pick-up is also just fine. I encourage you to come have a look at the car in person or send a qualified mechanic to inspect prior to bidding. I am in Oceanside, CA.

Things that need attention:
1) Probably some new belts. They are a bit old and if I were to be driving it often you should replace the belts. They squeal a bit right now as you can hear in the video.2) A new battery. The battery currently in the car doesn't seem to hold a charge anymore. It has a new alternator but if the car sits it drains the battery. I throw it on a charger for couple of hours and it is ready to go. Usually get a few days driving on it before needing a charge.3) A/C blows, but not cold. Not sure if it's a freon issue or what.4) Weatherstripping. Some of it has dried up and should be replaced. There are no leaks or anything, but replacing some of the weatherstripping would be something I would want to do. Replacement kits seem to be inexpensive.

I charged up the battery this morning and started it up. As usual, it runs like a sewing machine, but the squeaky belt I heard yesterday might be a bad pulley. I just don't know and really don't have the mechanical ability to diagnose. I sprayed some belt dressing on the belts, but the noise remains. I have not heard this noise until two days ago. The engine usually runs very quiet. So much so, you don't even realize it''s running at times while sitting in the car. But the belt of pulley noise is concerning to me and I want to let any potential bidders know about it up front. Anyone who has placed a bid up this point can contact me to have your bid retracted.. Thanks all for looking.
