1959 Cadillac 62 Series Convertible! 76k Miles! Same Owner For Nearly 50 Years! Moved For The First Time Only Two Weeks Ago! Lots of Additional Parts! Very Nice Front Bumper & Grille!
Thank you for checking out my eBayauction! My name is Shawn and I spend as much time as life will allow, chasing collector cars. I found out about this Cadillac through a good friend of mine just a little over three years ago. It was sitting out on the back side of a field just under a few trees and had been sitting that way for nearly a HALF A CENTURY! In fact on the inside of the drivers side door is a service sticker showing a service date of 1966. Two years afterwards, she was parked in the place she would call home for the next several decades.
When I initially found out about the Cadillac, I immediately hopped in the Truck and took off to see if it was a legitimate find. So I show up to the place and endured about a half mile walk through flea and mosquito infested woods. While I am swatting away bugs, I find myself looking up and seeing the Cadillac for the first time. My heart immediately started beating faster. The owner had the car surrounded with other vehicles so I agreed to a price, left a deposit, and then three years later I got the call. "Shawn, I was finally able to get your Cadillac pulled out". I got that call two weeks ago and while it was exciting to here and see it finally come to fruition, it was also bitter sweet. While I would love nothing more then to build one of my dream cars, at this moment, it just isn't possible. In the last few years a lot of things have changed in my life and unfortunately, I am just done building cars for quite some time.
Included with this Cadillac are three additional doors, all drivers side doors, I believe the entire structure for the convertible top is there, nothing appears to be missing. I have a gas tank, an extra rear bumper, an additional tail panel trim, extra front bumper, and an extra set of fenders. With the Cadillac comes a very nice & additional front bumper and grille. These were kept in a warehouse since the late 60's. One tab is bent, one billet piece is missing, and another is removed with no clip. The bumper shines up nicely but it has a few small blemishes in the chrome. Nothing catastrophic. I would call the grille and bumper nice driver quality pieces. Looking at the motor, I believe it is a warranty replacement motor as it has no stamping on the front passenger side pad. The original plastic VIN tag appears to be long gone but the VIN is visibly stamped on the frame. As you will see within the photos, she is a big project but one that is well worth the save.
These big fin Cadillacs will forever remain a great investment grade vehicle. Just like Corvettes, they will continue to endure and rise in value. See how little they were effected during the financial crisis of 2008. If you are interested in evaluatingthis Cadillac further, please feel free to give me a call, text (816-308-0351), or an email.
