Description
1993 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham with 68. 00 miles. I have the original title from Brookline. MA and am the second titled owner. The car came to me needing a replacement engine. I did this work myself. performing the following upgrades to a correct Chevrolet 5. 7l v8: 1984 mild Corvette camshaft and timing chain. cylinder heads ported for high torque. new valves. seals. gaskets. cat-delete and long tube exhaust headers into performance single exhaust (stock sound level). performance Z28 700r4 transmission installed. conversion to Edelbrock Perf RPM intake manifold/4160 Holley carburetor and HEI ignition. New radiator and conversion to mechanical fan and factory shroud (also known as the heavy-duty towing package upgrade). The car no longer runs on a computer. The harness has not been hacked. All upgrades are tasteful and "stealth"--engine hides its upgrades well. However. all original parts are present in the trunk in case the buyer would prefer to go back to original. So this is a gentleman's hot rod. and the buyer should understand what that means. The idea was to achieve 1994-1996 LT-1 performance without relying on a bunch of sensors and the Optispark distributor. In short. it runs better than stock. performance-wise. though gas mileage is not as good. I'm happy with the way it turned out and it's time to move on to other projects. Sharp second car or weekend cruiser. Not recommended for your wife. Condition: generally very good to excellent. Cold A/C. It currently needs a new rear bumper due to small rust holes. and some minor cosmetic work around the body (it is a 22-year old car. ) Carriage roof perfect. factory clearcoat great. frame. floors. rockers. everything that matters is very solid. No rattles or bumps. suspension solid. tires about 70%. factory aluminum rims have the normal wear and tear. All windows. locks. etc. function properly. The dark blue leather interior is very nice. except one panel has a rip. Seats have no rips. I'm open to trades for motorcycles. but would much prefer a cash deal. Will be available for pickup upon payment. You are welcome to inspect and drive the car before final payment. as long as I have a reasonable deposit. I want the buyer to be happy. *EDIT: At 3 grand this is a STEAL. Twice I've been offered $3500 for this car. so I'm discounting it from the former price of $5k for two reasons: 1) The paperwork. I have the bill of sale and original title from the dealership in Newton where the original owner traded it in. All filled out legally to me. But the title on back has been completely filled out and cannot be reassigned. due to a nonpaying buyer before me. So you might have to pay the DMV extra money for a title search or whatever they decide. I'm not willing to go through the hassle. 2) From sitting outside. not moving all winter. a few of the dash lights have come on (NOT the CEL though. which is only tied to the o2 sensors) and the car needs cleaned thoroughly and a little TLC. The doors have gotten a bit sticky opening. brakes w/surface rust. that kind of thing. It needs to be put on the ROAD and enjoyed. or at least garaged as it was all its life until last year. I drove it the other day and it still runs great. In response to questions. here are some miscellaneous remarks:The Fleetwood up until 1996 was the last of the RWD (rear wheel drive) platforms. along with the Buick Roadmaster and Chevy Caprice. otherwise known as B-Bodies. They handle well for their weight--better than the A-body muscle cars of the 60's and early 70's. The car currently sounds 95% like a stock Cadillac. because I retained the factory muffler. Caddy mufflers are historically known for their high quality and performance. However. some power could definitely be freed up with a Walker Dynomax. Flowmaster. or other muffler flowing 400+ cfm. I left it up to the new owner to decide how much he'd like to balance sound level versus power.
