In November (550 miles ago) local mechanic change all fluids and hoses and belts. After further evaluation had additional mechanical work done that included: new brakes all around, ngine mounts, ransmission mounts, nner/outer tie rods, all joints, hift link, il pan gaskets, ulbs/lights and alignment. ($3,231.00) Some of the work could have been deferred till later date, ut I wanted the car to be perfect! So, echanically this car is excellent with no defects or damage.
The car is in amazing condition and a very smooth running and driving classic car. Everything works as it should. It would be difficult to find a 1985 Eldorado Biarritz Convertible as nice as this and in this rare color combination?

No matter how inaccurate and flawed AutoCheck's score is, know how nice this car is and what number will buy it. With that said I don’t sell cars for a living - it’s currently stored at my warehouse and the only reason I’m considering selling is to buy a new Corvette. So, f someone wants a really desirable and original heading turning classic car, hich gets scarcer each year this could be the one?
Please read updated info:
I was contacted today (6/30/15) by the second owner of this vehicle. He informed me he’d purchased it from his doctor in the early 90’s. Sold it in 2002 or 04 (approximately) back to the original owner’s (doctor) nephew. He said the reported accident was just a small fender-bender (1991) in a parking lot. He told me beside the factor CB the doctor had a phone installed. He said when he sold the car it had roughly 40,000 miles on it. The second owner, Cadillac collector currently the owner of 4 investment quality cars, aid that there is no way to know my claim regarding the exact number of this cars color/interior combo? Also he’d purchased the “Double Eagles” (no longer made) new in the late 90’s. I drive the car such short distances I haven’t noticed a problem with them. However, ’m sure the car would drive and handle even better with newer & improved tires?
It’s conceivable with appropriate vehicles I’d be interested in a mutual agreeable trade or barter? I’d prefer trading for one proportionately equal in value or trading up and contributing extra cash for the picture-perfect car. AutoCheck shows 2 negative issues scoring the car an 11. - Both issues are incorrect & false – Additional facts & documentation regarding vehicle below. Please read the additional info if truly interested in the car:
AutoCheck scores my Eldorado Convertible as an 11 with 2 negative factors both are false and data/documentation flawed regarding the vehicle. Claiming one negative factor being an accident and other "calculated number of owners.” Both are incorrect and evidently have a broad (Scoring 11) negative impact. No matter how inaccurate AutoCheck score is, know what number will buy it! With that said I don’t sell cars for a living - it’s stored at my warehouse and I really don't need to sell it. It’s a really nice original heading turning, eautiful classic car and goes up in value each year. Currently eBay’s similar year Eldorado’s have scores ranging from 34 to 54. 1984 Biarritz Convertible one owner with 101,000 miles scores a 54!
1984 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz with 62,000 miles scored a 34
1985 Eldorado Biarritz Convertible 2 owner with 121,000 miles scores a 41.
AutoCheck/eBay say similar cars should score between 15 and 36. Scoring my Eldorado Convertible an 11 is insane and untrue!
My cars low mileage is a positive factor. That should increase its score? Yet even their positive factors are deceiving. (AutoCheck actual or estimated nonsense)
The mileage on this car is actual and true. Not an estimation or guess. Here facts, ot estimations or calculations like reported on AutoCheck, egarding this vehicle. AutoCheck reports an accident on 10/31/1991 yet have absolutely no data before that? I have a receipt from 1991 that says “buff doors fix l door?” for a total cost of $112. (Non-collision Non-issue) Plus recent CarFax report reports no accidents or damage. CarFax history starts in 1997. AutoCheck reports 6 owners. I believe their owner calculation to be wrong too - calculating some registrations as new owners?
I believe from 1985 to 2008 car had one owner Francis Brescia considering receipts and title wasn't changed (#38043507) till 2008. (One owner?) The original owner (Francis Brescia) purchased it from Titus Cadillac of Harrisburg PA I’m fairly certain the first owner put at least 36,106 and maybe as many as 40k? That as much as 80% of the total miles. I assume in 02/2008 when title changed to NJ and new owner. At this time the car had 46,575 miles. Three months later NJ owner registers car in California with 47,316 hence the mandatory third taillight. From 2008 to 2012 car was only driven 1200 miles and in storage. (Still second owner?) In May 2012 car was sold to a gentleman from Sarasota who purchased car with 48,560. (Third owner) I have a 30 page CARCHEX from 5/3/2012 reporting an overall rating of good and with 48,512 miles. I purchased it from who I was told was the third owner on 6/2014. I drove it till the present miles (50,060) I could be wrong but I assume I’m the fourth owner? I know for sure third and fourth owners improved car and its value?
Additional facts & documentation regarding vehicle. AutoCheck's history report shows nothing before 1991. I have 1988 receipt showing 16,000 miles a 1990 receipt reporting 25000. Plus others from 1985 to 1997, ll for Francis Brescia the original owner. AutoCheck shows in 04/1995 the car having 3,000 miles and sold at Auto Auction. What!? Wrong I have a 1995 receipt from original owner Francis Brescia showing mileage at 36,106. AutoCheck shows no mileage till 2008. (46,575) What is the true data on this car? Is AutoCheck's records estimated, alculated, valuated or just a best guess? AutoCheck scoring for this and many other vehicles is just wrong and suggests smoke and mirrors.AutoCheck history reports positive & negative factors regarding used cars. Using a patent-pending AutoCheck rating system. They claim “all the vehicle's history data with one convenient Score.”
I tried to contact them to remove or revisit the report but like Experian you can’t get straightforward responses. AutoCheck like Experian (Parent company) the credit reporting agency who’s always being sued for inaccuracies in their data, onconforming violations and breaking every consumer protection law on the books. All of which have a negative impact on most of us. Perhaps they should do some real research.
