Please note that experience shows us that the photobucket of over 100 large pixel pictures posted here are in most cases best viewed and downloaded using the very latest and most updated version of the 'Firefox' browser as some other browsers and especially older browser versions are not capable of accommodating the size of the download. Over the years our clients have overwhelmingly been appreciative of our many unaltered large pixel photos posted in our ads and our feedback has been that it is very rare that a dealer will post all but the most flattering of professionally finished photographs. We prefer to post the many photos taken of the car, n sometimes unflattering but natural sunlight, n order for our prospective buyers to be able to see true and reliable images of the car advertised and that is the reason for some seemingly duplicated shots. We trust you will agree.

There's no better example of GM's styling and engineering prowess in a four door luxury sedan model than the 1969 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham with its padded vinyl roof, legant interiors of cloth and Sierra-grain leather, are wood accents, nd its long 133" wheelbase which give the top-of-the-line Brougham the unique distinction all of its own, long with carpeted footrests as standard. Drive one like this particular example and you will see how its hard to believe that this car was built over 45 years ago! These cars bristled with the latest in modern appointments and had few rivals in the luxury market and were purchased only by the very privileged elite. The all new 472/375HP V8 engine with 525 foot pounds of torque was introduced in 1968, t was the biggest and smoothest engine built by Cadillac to date and it proved unsurpassed in the industry as the largest engine ever put in a production passenger motor car and provided both sparkling acceleration, et also quiet and effortless highway cruising, lmost like having two engines! The car was also redesigned to match its modern engine with a new grille with finely spaced horizontal grille bars and distinct parking and headlamp lights.
This particular example was originally ordered at 'Thomas Cadillac' of Los Angeles, A, nd sold on 5/14/1969 to its original California owner, he then 72 years old Mrs Edith Homan of Glendale, A, long time wealthy Glendale resident who generously bequeathed to the 'Glendale Memorial Hospital' the largest unsolicited donation the 58 year old institution had ever received. LaRue C. Thomas was the legendary Cadillac collector and owner and founder of the renown 'Thomas Cadillac' of Los Angeles, A which he started in 1965 and where he amassed a legendary collection of over 70 cars, ainly Cadillacs, hich he stored in his eight story DTLA building at 7th & Bixel where he eventually built one of the nations largest Cadillac dealerships. Upon the passing of Mrs Homan in 1982 we understand the Cadillac was acquired back from the Homan estate for Mr Thomas's personal private collection. The Thomas family finally closed the business in 1989 and the car was now one of LaRue's documented and legendary private collection of Cadillacs - the best of the best. For over a quarter of a century the building's sixth floor had housed this renown collection which was known to be one of the finest and most private of collections of automobiles in the world. The collection was mainly comprised of vintage Cadillacs from 1903-1979, he general theme being the evolution of the Cadillac from the sputtering Model A with a one cylinder engine mounted beneath the floor to the brazen 8.2L barge that was the 1976 Eldorado Convertible, he last of the big convertibles. This particular car was listed as #57 of over 74 cars. Following the sale of the building and surrounding acres by the Thomas family, he collection of cars was eventually sold with the help of the renown Brian Nelson Jones of Indiana who compiled the list of the collection and helped organize the sale, ith this particular car being sold in 1996 with 6,043 original miles by 'Thomas Cadillac' to its most recent southern California owner who has obviously always garaged the car since that time and maintained it with service records available. Since 2003 the car was rarely driven and it now has only 10,363 original miles.
The car oozes pride of ownership with the the floor boards, runk and all the typical rust-prone areas completely original, olid and rust-free and the car has absolutely no signs of ever being exposed to the elements with seemingly all original paint - obviously an always cherished 'Garage Queen' since new. The car its four original rubber floor mats still protecting the carpets and will be sold with a briefcase containing files of all of its original sale invoices, wners manuals, ealer brochures and window sticker.
The 472/375HP 4 barrel V8 engine is extremely strong and powerful and sounds absolutely magnificent and this particular car drives absolutely magnificently - must be driven to be believed - does not miss a beat and purrs like a kitten - drives straight as an arrow with no strange road wobbles, shakes or rattles - a truly remarkable daily driver that still drives as it must have the day it left the showroom floor in DTLA in 1969! The transmission shifts smoothly through the gears and the car is an absolute pleasure to drive! The car has always obviously always been well maintained and all the options work as they should including all the power options, he power windows, power seats and the factory air conditioning! The car boasts its original spare wheel and jack in the truck!
This is an extraordinarily rare opportunity to own a great daily driving example of a completely original California 'Black License Plate' 1969 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham showing pride of ownership throughout in great driving and looking condition with almost every possible factory available option installed and with only 10K original miles!
