Description

1978 chevy k5 blazer, heyenne package, utomatic 350 turbo, ebuilt 350 4bbl engine, x4, /C truck, ruise control, lean title, his is a great truck, have taken my time over the last 8 months and went over this truck completely getting it mechanically sound and then ready to get painted, have replaced, ebuilt, r repaired just about everything mechanically that needed it, aking it a solid dependable, ompletely functional truck, his truck runs, rives, nd handles, nd rides very good, s a daily driver, wouldnt be afraid to drive it anywhere or any distance, ts never left me down. Needs nothing mechanically and is ready to go cruising tonite. All that needs done is a few minor things to finish it which have nothing to do with it mechanically, hich ill list below, ut other than that it is a good dependable truck and needs nothing, nd is ready to take the next step and get a paint job done and become a top notch truck. Truck is inspected for a long time yet till next june, /16, ruck has a plate, nd insurance and if your local and want to come in person to see it we can go for a ride when you come see it, o problem.
A few details about the truck, his truck at one time was stored for over 15 years in a dry, ement floor closed garage by previous owner who started to rebuild and restore it but never finished it which is why it slipped thru the cracks and is pretty much unmolested and in better than average shape, hich is pretty rare these days, ost are plain jane models, r have been gutted and beat up, ts all there, nd in pretty much original shape, nd the interior in my opinion is in pretty dam good shape for its age, onsidering it is all original, nd almost 40 years old, m not trying to tout it as "like new", ut pretty dam good. Some people covet a pretty outside over an inside, ell this truck isnt pretty on the outside, ut she is on the inside, this interior is worth as much as a truck with a pretty outside and crappy interior. Fenders, doors and hoods are easy to be had, n interior like this aint. The truck is very solid, utside is faded, nd will need painted at some point, ut has very little actual rust rot on it, ost of it is just some small surface rust patches here and there, ut very little actual rust holes, he main areas that need the most work are the two rocker panels themselves, nd directly behind them, nd these rockers are a piece of cake to replace, ther than that theres not much rust repair needed, ust a few small areas here and there and thats about it, retty much just the average areas these trucks are known for, ut nothing terrible, nd overall very solid, nd better than average.
Also the engine was completely rebuilt by previous owner and hardly driven, nd had less than 15,000 miles put on it when i bought it, ts bored 30 over, ll new crank,rods,4 valve relief pistons, ings, oil pump, cam, ifters, valve job, ts built to stock specs, ot a race motor, nd runs and sounds great, hoke works properly, oesnt burn oil, o puffs of smoke, o puffs of smoke at start up, good tight motor that will last a long time, have probably put about 3000 miles on it since....never let me down....tires are still pretty good, ont need tires for awhile they are certainly good enough to get through winter and beyond. 4 wheel drive works great, ransfer case shifts smooth. Has original wagon wheels, nd side mirrors. I have the two pieces of chrome that go on the tailgate, just never got around to putting them back on after putting the new tailgate on since i had planned on getting it painted.
The following has been replaced new just over the last several months....i cant possibly list everything ive done with and to this truck, o if serious e-mail and i can answer any questions, ve spent a lot of time, abor, nd money on it.
new tailgate.... new front and rear brakes.... two new rear wheel cylinders.... two new front brake calipers.... new master cylinder.... new brake lines to the rear brakes and on rearend.... two new super strength moog front axle shaft universals with grease fittings.... both front hubs cleaned and repacked.... new oil and filter change.... new spark plugs.... new sparkplug wires.... new accel cap and rotor.... replaced all top engine gaskets, while painting some stuf, othing fancy just wanted to make it nice looking.... anti-freeze.... new heater motor, lows nice heat.... new custom made true 3" dual exhaust all the way out the back.... two new 3" in/out thrush welded mufflers, ounds awesome.... new air cleaner.... two new headlights.... fanbelt.... cleaned all electrical connections.... emergency brake works nice.... gauges work nice.... almost all the little stuff works to, ncluding the wonderfully annoying seat belt buzzer....
The things i didnt get around to i wanted to.
i never got a air conditioner compressor, nd lines, verything is there for the air conditioner except the compressor, nd two main lines, he condensor is there in front of radiator, ust needs the lines to connect to it,the controls work in dash, o will be easy to hook back up and charge.
the little metal track that is on the bottom of the tailgate window needs replaced, t works fine and goes up and down, ou just have to help guide it with your hand until it is in the slots in the cap, ut winds up and down nice, nd fits tight and does not leak when closed, nd that track part is inexpensive, lso the the tailgate window winder actually works and locks and unlocks with the key which most dont, never finished adjusting tailgate, nd opening rods, ut pretty close.
This is a good solid straight truck, nd mechanically sound, nd ready to take to the next level and become a sweet high dollar truc, his has the cheyenne package which is one of their top of the line models back in the day along with the silverado, o it is one of the much more desirable models. ive tried to list everything, nd give as much information as i kould, ut cant cover everything, nd every question in this ad, o if interested get ahold of me, -mail is the best way to contact me as im on the computer alot. willing to talk on the phone if youd like also.
The only reason i decided to sell this is because i got another project car unexpectedly, nd have decided id like to get it done for summertime now instead of the truck, nd the only way i can do it is to part with one of my toys, nd this is the most expendable one i have. These trucks are now bonafide highly sought after classics appreciating yearly, ll this truck needs now is the cosmetics done on the exterior, nd it will be a hell of a nice truck, his truck has the potential to be worth a lot of money, nd you'll look a long while before you'll find one with such a nice interior thats all original. Definately worth more than my reserve, omeone will get a nice deal.
