Description
PLEASE READ!
This is an all original 1981 Chevrolet El Camino Conquista. The truck is equipped with a 3.8L 229CID V6 engine and a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. The truck’s odometer reads a little over 140k miles. The truck has a clean GA title, hich I have in my possession. Currently, he truck does not run or drive. I purchased this truck almost a year ago and I drove it home from Suwanee, A to Conyers, A, ut the engine ran very poorly. I had installed a slew of brand new parts onto the engine, ut I have since removed the new parts, long with some old engine accessories, o accommodate a price reduction in hopes of a faster sell. However, did leave some of the new parts on the truck, hich includes - new brake rotors, ew brake pads, nd a new master cylinder. I have a brand new (new old stock) Rochester Dualjet 210 carburetor that I will sell with the truck for an additional $200. I also have a list of other brand new parts that are available upon request at an additional price.
This truck is in fair condition and it needs some work, ut this is an El Camino! The El Camino is one of the few 80s GM cars that you could invest $10k in restoring and get all of your money back if you decide to sell it. With that being said, should inform you guys of the mechanical and cosmetic issues that this truck has. Again, he engine ran very poorly, ven with a brand new carburetor and a tune up. The engine will most likely need to be rebuilt. The truck’s body has some damage, few dents and dings. There is some rust-through in the floor pans, hich is actually a quite common occurrence with El Caminos, sk around. The steering column was busted when I purchased the truck, ut it is still functional. The muffler was cut off by the previous owner. The interior of the truck is worn, ut functional. I replaced the driver's side door latch and decided to leave the old ragged door panel off, ut it comes with the truck. Also, sold the chrome rally wheels that you see in the pictures, o the truck needs wheels and tires. The truck is currently sitting in my garage on jack stands and it has been sitting there since November of last year.
This is a fifth generation El Camino and it is part of GM’s 1978-1981 A-body platform. This particular El Camino was assembled in Doraville, A (identified by the “D” in the VIN number) and it was sold at a Chevrolet dealership in Conyers, A shortly thereafter. This truck would make an excellent candidate for a complete restoration or you could turn it into a cool rat rod.
I need $1,800 for this truck. The price is non-negotiable, hich means I am not taking offers and I am not willing to negotiate! At $1,800, one of the new parts, ith the exception of the previously mentioned brake parts, ill be included with the truck. All removed parts will be sold in addition to the truck at an additional price. The body of the truck is worth $1,500, asy. The transmission is fully functional and would sell for $250 any day of the week. The engine is rebuildable, ut the metal would scrap for a solid $100 minimum at any scrap yard. Add that together and you will get a little over $1,800. I should also mention that I have over $3,000 invested into this truck and even after removing and selling some of the new and old parts, still won't recoup my entire investment amount.
I know what this truck is worth and I know how much it would cost to get it back on the road! This description is accurate and detailed. My asking price is fair and reasonable and it will not change! Project cars aren't for everyone and this truck is no exception. This truck is not for fruitcakes that want to look cool in a retro Chevy! If you don't have any mechanical know-how or if you don't have the resources to have this truck fixed at an affordable rate, hen you shouldn't be interested in it!
I'd like to sell this truck as soon as possible. I can be contacted directly via phone or text message at (770) 462-4498.
This vehicle is being sold as-is with no warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Are you willing to ship this truck out of state?
Yes. However, will not accept PayPal and I am not willing to spend another penny on this truck. The truck is currently sitting on jack stands and it does not have wheels. If you want to have this truck shipped, hen you'd have to pay an additional $100 for wheels and, f course, ou'd have to fund and arrange your own shipping. Don't fret, will make sure that the wheels are nice with good tires.
Why did you remove all of the new parts from the engine?
Before I removed the new parts, hat I personally purchased and installed on this truck, made it clear that the truck did, n fact, un and drive. However, he truck didn't run or drive well enough to be deemed road worthy. After mentioning the latter stated fact in my vehicle's description, eople thought that the truck's running condition would be a great bargaining chip. Moreover, made it blatantly clear that the truck's price was non-negotiable, ut I received no serious inquiries and everyone seemed to only want to buy the truck to use its body. So, removed the new parts from the truck so I could lower the price. I'm definitely not selling this truck for less than $1,500, specially not with all of the new parts on it!
Will you take $1,000 for the El Camino today?
Fuck no! That'll never happen! Get outta here! Have you been dipping in the egg nog? Drugs are bad, 'kay?! You were dropped on the head a lot as a child, uh? Have you thought about seeing a neurologist about that "stupid" problem that you have? Yeah, nd two plus two equals, utu! LMAO! I could go on all day with this one.
