Please view 6 minute video of the car driving up a long hill at 60 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMkZQqSBQvI

The history of this car: This car was built in November of 1941, ays or weeks before the attack on Pearl Harbor per the vin. Window glass date stamps of November and August 1941. It is believed to be owned by it’s 2 first owners (I am third) in Western Iowa. The previous owner purchased the car due to it’s originality and rarity (having known the car locally) in March of 1977 for $3,000 (original receipt goes with the car) the second owner stored the vehicle in a climate and humidity controlled building with no sunlight which accounts for the incredible condition of what is absolutely believed to be the original paint and upholstery I acquired the car in 2014 from the family of the second owner and began a careful process to bring the car back to being road worthy. The car easily cruises up hills at 60 MPH (see the You Tube video on the above link.

The process that I went through this past year;

*Replaced the pre 1975 Gates tires with 4 new Coker bias ply tires. Had wheels sand blasted and powder coated the original Maryland Black Replaced hubcaps (originals go with the car)

* Had ReNu gas tanks of MN clean and internally coat the fuel tank (exterior remains original) Replaced rubber around filler neck.

*Had the original carburetor and generator rebuilt by Chevs of the Forties.

*Replaced wheel cylinders and master cylinder (originals go with the car)

*Replaced the exhaust system.

*New plugs, oints, ondenser, nd wires.

The car starts, tops, nd drives like new (Please do view the video attesting to this.) The vacuum assist shifting is short, asy, nd smooth. The steering has only light play/movement even at 60MPH with bias ply tires.

The rarity of the 1942 Business Coupe; in 1942 Chevrolet manufactured 1,782 Business Coupes (2104 Coupe 2) per the GM History Website. This was less than 1% of their automotive production. In the previous year they produced ten times as many at 17,602. Chevrolet produced no civilian vehicles due to the war in 1943, 4, nd 45. They also produces no Business Coupes after production restarted in 1946, 7 and 48. This is an extremely rare car in any condition let alone in an original, urvivor, ust free condition. There is not a nick or ding anywhere on this 74 year old vehicle. Truly One-in-a-million !!

The paint is absolutely believed to be original and has an incredible shine from being out of reach of any sunlight for the past 38 years. The paint does have some crazing and the rear trunk lid does show some sign of age (please look at the 500+ high resolution untouchedphotographs). The glass is uncracked and in beautiful condition. Everything works with the exception of thegasoline indicator which has a new tank sending unit. The cg=hrome is outstanding also. The stainless on the rocker was replaced by me as the original owner added an extra screw to hold it to the vehicle. The original trimis included with the car.
