This is a very well preserved 1963 Chevrolet Corvair Greenbrier.
It runs as good as it looks. I believe it is all original.
Nice solid body that has not been restored.
The transmission is the rarer 4 speed manual and it shifts nice.
The interior fabric is pristine. Even the cover for the spare tire is in nice condition.
It is a 6 passenger as there is no rear facing center seat.
If you know the Corvair then I do not need to tell or show you all the plus features of this van.
I will take any photo you desire but I need a good email address to send the photo.
I am selling it because I have too many irons and this wonderful van needs a deserving home.
Title is clean and clear.
Serious inquiries only please. I don't have to sell it but I would like to see it appreciated.
Will consider trade of a good 4 x 4 pickup truck or ?
Here is some historical info about the Corvair:
Chevrolet introduced the Corvair lineup for the 1960 model year as the first of a series of generations of passengercompact cars. Chevrolet introduced a more utilitarian style of vehicle the following year under the model designation "Corvair 95". In appearance and design the vehicles were similar to the competingVolkswagen Transporter, hich was essentially a bus-like adaptation of theVolkswagen Beetlethat moved the driver over the front wheels (Forward control), lso commonly defined as acab overvehicle.
The Corvairair-cooledhorizontally opposed6-cylinder enginewas located in the rear of the vehicle under a slightly raised cargo floor. It was similar in principle to the 4-cylinder engine of the Volkswagen, ut unusual for most contemporary cars. The 145cuin (2,375cc) engine developed 80hp (60kW) at 4,400 rpm. Engine size was increased to 164cuin (2,683cc) for the 1964 model year, aising output to 95hp (71kW). Unlike the Corvair cars, he Corvair Greenbrier had a 95in (2,400mm) wheelbase and were thus known as "95s." They came standard with a three-speedmanual transmissionbut could be ordered with a two-speedCorvair Powerglideautomatic transmission(distinct from the usualPowerglide); eventually a four-speed manual was also made available.
