Description

This is an honest working truck. Its spent is fair share of days on the farm and has some hard earned dings to prove it. Its not a show truck and its never been to the mall. Its 50 years old but in good shape for a truck that old. When I rebuilt the bed I painted everything from the cab back with rust inhibiting paint. The front needs the same treatment and it would look good as new. The truck does not have power steering or brakes. The steering column and steering wheel are original as is the automatic transmission shifter on the column. The motor was replaced by the previous owner. The casting number on the engine is 3792858 which identifies it as a period correct (62-67) 194 cubic inch inline 6 cylinder. I have a new GM 283 V8 crate motor (long block..meaning you buy and install intake, xhaust manifolds, arburetor and all the rest of the trimmings to your desire) still in the box that comes with the truck. This was the top of the line engine when the truck was built in 1965 but most people opted for the inline 6's for economy and torque. This is one of those trucks that you can get for a low entry price, rive it and have fun while you fix it up. There's an amazing list of parts these days that enable owners to make these old trucks ride and drive just as good as a new truck. As stated earlier I also have the original wheels on new white wall tires with the baby moon caps if you prefer the stick look. The 283 V8 engine and wheels come with the truck if you want them.
Its a 50 year old truck, ts not been cut anywhere on the inside or out and has no rust issues.
Has drum brakes all around and manual steering just as it came from the factory. Fun ride. People love it and you'll get your share of thumbs up going down the road !
