Also, lease read thepayment section carefully. Iwill not vary off of what isexplained there. Cashiers checks may have hold put on them by my bank. My bank will give me a letter of how long the hold will be. I will forward a copy of the letter to you. The length of hold depends on the bank that it is sent from. Some smaller banks cantake up to 10 business days. The car will not leave here until my banksays the check has cleared. No exceptions. That is why I like wire transfers and cash.
This is a super cool and unusualChevrolet gasser. This is a frame off restoration that was started but not finished. The builder tried to stay as close as he could to using asmany vintage parts as he could to keep with the barn find theme. It is a running, riving, nd stopping car.
Body: Solid 1949 Chevy business coupe. Body was taken off of the frame and all new floor pans, runk pan, nd firewall were customformed and built fromscratch. The builder did an excellent jobfabricating the panels as you can see in the pics. The hole in the hood and the rear wheel openings look great with a custom made bead. Glass is all good and the windows work. Stainless trim and chrome all in very good shape. There are dents and surface rust as you can see and the patina is real.Clear coat it as is for the classic oldgasser look, r dream up your own paintscheme. This car sits right and looks killer just the way it is.
Interior: Not much to say here. All vintage gaugesincluding an original Oldsmobilefactory tach. Seats are mounted very well. Custom 4 point roll cage. Aluminum doors panels. Very nice seats. I do have the factorydash chrome pieces to fill the holes in the dash. B&Mratchet shifter. Wiring is new butjust basic to get it running. No lights are hooked up.
Driveline: Engine is a rebuilt 1966 Olds 425 cu. in. big block with 10.5 to 1 compression, mid range cam, intage Offenhauser single 4barrel tunnel ram, OS Accel dual point distributer, olley carb, ustom builtfender wellheaders with mufflers, luminum radiator, urbo 350 with a 3500 stahl converter, manual shift valve body comes with the car, " Ford open rear end with 3:55 gears. This car has a lot of torque with that bid Oldsengine.
Chassis: This is where you really should see the car in person. The guy that did the fabrication was superb with his work. All welds are show quality. It has a custom built square tube front sub frame from thefirewall forward. The axle is froman old Ford truck. The whole brake system is new or rebuilt and the lines are new also. Front drums are vintage finned ones for better cooling. Rears arestock 9" Ford drums. It steers and stops great. The ladder bars are also custom built for this car. Notice in the pictures that there are no "U" Bolts over the housing tubes holding the rear end housing to the leaf springs. He fabricated and welded specialmounts that arefront of the housing so the rear end can pivot with the car movement so there is no spring binding. He used some type of rubber inset bushings at the pivot points. Very cool way to give the car a good ride on the street while not giving up any launching capabilities at the track. Wheels are all Cragar SS's. Fronts are brand new 15" x 4"s with new tires. Rears are used but good 15" x 8.5"s with used but good racing only slicks.
Now forwhat it still needs: It is currently running off of a temporary marine fuel tank in the rear seat area so it will need a fuel cell installed. The guy had it ready to pull the body back off of the frame and paint the bodyand frame up properly before final assembly when he ran outof steam and money. Not all of the body bushings have been installed because of that. A personwould not have to pull the body again topaint it all, ut it would make it easier I suppose. Complete the wiringfor lights if a street car isdesired. Install more interior pieces if wanted. It doeshave a green carpet set in the trunk.
Basically you are buying a very cool running and driving project that you can make your own car without much effort or cost. This is a rare chance to find a car in this stage ofdevelopment.
