1967 Corvette Convertible Custom Restomod-- 1967427 Strokedpushing over 550+hp with P/S and P/B and hard top!
This car is not for the faint of heart!Corvetteconnoisseur this is not aNCRS car so please don't even bid on it. This car is a Pure Beast!
So let me tell what my plan was for this car. I bought it a few years ago from a family member who rebuilt it from ground up. It had a 327 in it at the time. It was not numbermatchingso i wasn't married to it. One day i decided to take it to the track just to really run it. To be honest i was pretty disappointed. It ran ok but i was getting beat by Honda civics with turbo's that hurt my ego. It was running 15's or so.
After that experience i decided i will never lose to another Honda again! I knew this wasn't number matching so i decided to go the Restomod route which seems to command more money now a days. Only Instead of putting the typical LS motor in it, wanted something morenostalgic. So i found a 427 (425hp) 4 bolt main block # and gave it to my local engine builder.
I planned to beef the engine (done), pruce up the interior, ive it a badass paint job, nd slap some 18in billet wheels on it. Then this thing would have the power you would expect from it, ook good and beat those wanna be rice burners.
The engine is a correct year 1967 427 4bolt main bored and stroked. Engine was built by local expert builder Steve Keech at the Big Machine in Sarasota Florida. The Engine has not been Dyno Tested yet but we are guessing aconservative550 hp. It Still has original but recently rebuilt 4 speedMuncie Tranny with new Hurst Shifter. I Would definitely plan to upgrade the tranny if you want to take advantage of this badass engine.
I have had this car gone through thoroughly by local corvette shop withreceiptsto prove it.It was completely rebuilt with nothing but high horse power in mind.We also beefed up rear end to handle the torque.I have well over 25k invested in the upgrades and engine build alone. ISpared no expense in the rebuild with all high performance parts. Here is a small list of the things i had done.

The only thing really left to do is the cosmetic stuff- interior, aint and wheels. Then this is will be in my opinion a 1 of a kind Badass Restomod!!
Runs and drives great! I haven't even broke in the engine yet This car is not for the faint of heart! Pure beast mode with this bad boy!
Paint is in fair condition. Minor stress cracks and chips. To be honest That was my next step is to give this beauty a good 10k paint job.
The seats are in practically new condition. The original interior is in tack and no holes but could use some sprucing up. No cracks in original dash but has some fading. The carpets could be replaced and door panels shown some love. I personally planned to put a couple grand into it and make it shine like new. I also planned to drop 5k on new rims as they have some wear on the chrome. They are old school 15" Cragars with New Goodrich Radial tires.
I have even more things that i have done and no detail has been missed mechanically. Most every nut and bolt in the engine bay and underneath the car is new. I spared no expense. My father always said if your not going to do it right then don't do it at all.
Oh and when we pulled the tank to clean it out we found the original tank sticker! We salvaged it the best we could. I have the pic above.
I am selling because i just had my first child. So decided this money could be better allocated. This thing wakes up the baby and every other baby for a quarter mile away! hahahaha
