BODY- THIS IS A PRETTY SOLID OLD GMC THAT AT FIRST IMPRESSION AND INITIAL LOOKS AROUND THIS TRUCK SEEM TO BE IN ORIGINAL PAINT AND A FACTORY BLACK ON BLACK TRUCK, UT IT HAS HAD ONE COMPLETE REPAINT IN THE 70'S FROM THE ORIGINAL GOLD TO THIS BLACK YOU SEE NOW. IT WAS A EXCELLENT JOB THAT MUST HAVE LOOKED FACTORY AT THE TIME AS THEY DID ALL THE INTERIOR OF THE CAB, LL JAMBS, NSIDE OF BED, NNER TAILGATE AND EVERYTHING UNDER THE HOOD AND DECADES LATER YOU HAVE TOO LOOK VERY CLOSE TO SEE CLUES THAT IT WAS ONCE GOLD. THIS TRUCK HAS THE LOOK AND PATINA OF A 40-50 YEAR OLD ORIGINAL PAINT TRUCK WITH MILD WEAR AND TEAR OF CHIPS AND SCRATCHES THROUGHOUT THE BODY, OME LARGER CHIPS ON FRONT EDGE OF BED THAT SHOW THE ORIGINAL GOLD UNDERNEAT, HE PAINT UNDER THE GAS FILLER ON DRIVER SED OF BED AREA IS FADED AND BEEN WORN BY YEARS OF FUEL OVER FLOW, UT NO DENTS AND IT HAS ALL THE ORIGINAL SHEET METAL. THE PAINT STILL HAS A NICE DEEP REFLECTION AND VERY GLOSSY SHINE TO IT AND TO METHE BODY AND PAINT IS THE GREAT THING ABOUT THIS TRUCK BECAUSE YOU REALLY CAN'T HIDE ANY ISSUES, T SIMPLY SHOWS YOU WHAT IT NEEDS. IT HAS SOME OF YOUR TYPICAL RUST AREAS OF THE 67-72 TRUCKS THAT YOU JUST CAN'T SEEM TO GET PAST ON THESE TRUCKS WITH RUST ON THE INNER ROCKERS, NSIDE EDGE OF FRONT AND REAR CAB MOUNTS, OME RUST UNDER BATTERY ON PASSENGER INNER WHEEL WELL, OME SMALL AREAS STARTING ON THE OUTER REAR CAB CORNERS, POTS ON THE BOTTOM EDGES OF THE DOORS, LITTLE BUBBLING BEHIND THE EAR OF THE DRIP RAILS OF THE CAB, UT THE FLOORS SEEM SOLID. THE HOOD, ENDERS, ORE SUPPORT, EFT INNER FENDE, AIL GATE, OWL, IREWALL, OOF OF CAB AND ENTIRE BED INSIDE AND OUT ARE SOLID AND RUST FREE. THE DOORS SHUT NICE AND TIGHT WITH NO SAG IN THE HINGES, HE REAR TAILGATE CLOSES AND OPENS EASILY AND IS NOT BENT OUT OF SHAPE ALONG WITH THE FRONT BULKHEAD OF THE BED THT IS NICE AND STRAIGHT. ALL GLASS IS IN GOOD SHAP, RONT GLASS I BELIEVE IS ORIGINAL WITH THE AGED FOGGING ON THE SIDES AND HAS FOUR SMALL CHIPS, T HAS TIGHT AND LOCKING FLY WINDOWS, OCKING REAR SLIDER, IDE WINDOWS THAT ROLL UP AND DOWN, UT COULD USE SOME GREASE. IN THE DAY THIS GMC 2500 WAS FULLY OPTIONED FROM THE FACTORY WITH CUSTOM DELUXE EXTERIOR TRIM PKG WITH FACTORY STEEL WHEELS AND FULL CHROME EXTERIOR TRIM. THE GRILLE AND LENSES ARE ALL IN NICE SHAPE ALONG WITH THE FRONT BUMPER, UT THEY ARE ORIGINAL AND DO SHOW AGE ALONG WITH THE REAR THAT HAS SEEN SOME ACTION OVER THE YEARS THAT IS RUSTED ON THE OUTER TOP EDGES. ALL THE RUBBER SEALS ARE ORIGINAL AND SHOW IT WITH SOME FADING, RY ROT AND CRACK, UT DO THEIR JOB AND THIS TRUCK LEAKS NO WATER INSIDE. OVERALL THIS IS A KILLER TRUCK WITH A TOUGH LOOK THAT SHOWS WEAR OF THE YEAR, UT ALSO STILL SHOWS THE LOVE IT RECEIVED WITH THE PAINT AND CHROME THAT ARE STILL SHINING. I HAVE MANY CLOSE UP PICS OF THE TRIM AND PAINT THAT CAN ALSO BE SEEN IN THE VIDEO ALONG WITH ANY WEARIN THE PAINT, UT IF MORE ARE NEEDED LET ME KNOW.INTERIOR- INSIDE IT IS ALL ORIGINAL AND INTACT! THE ORIGINAL RUBBER FLOOR IS SURPRISINGLY IN NICE SHAPE WITH JUST SOME CRACKING IN THE CENTER HUMP NEAR THE SHIFTERS, HE FACTORY BENCH HAS BEEN RE-DONE AT SOME POINT AND THE GREY DIAMOND CLOTH IS A LITTLE FADED AND HAS ONE HOLE ON DRIVER BOTTOM. THE DASH IS IN NICE SHAPE WITH NO CRACKS ON THE TOP DASH PAD,THE METAL PART OF DASH STILL HAS NICE PAINTALONG WITH THE CHROME AND BLACK TRIM. THE STEREO LIGHTS UP, UT DOESN'T SEEM TO WORK. IT HAS THE HARD TO FIND FACTORY TACH DASH! TACH OIL PRESSURE AND SPEEDO WORK AND I BELIEVE THE FUEL GAUGE IS WORKING CORRECTLY, UT THE OTHER GAUGES DON'T AND THE NEEDLE ON TACH WILL JUMP AROUND A LITTLE WITH HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND BUMPS. THE DOOR PANELS ARE IN GREAT SHAPE WIT THE CUSTOM VINYL TRIM AND PATTERN WITH JUST ONE MARK UNDER THE ARM REST OF THE DRIVER SIDE, OTH DOORS LOCK, PEN EASILY AND EVEN THE ORIGINAL WINDOW CRANKS STILL HAVE THE BLACK PLASTIC KNOB. THEORIGINAL SUN VISORS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE AND MOVE FREELY AND STAY UP AMAZINGLY AND THE ORIGINAL 4WD DECAL ON THE TOP OF THE INSIDE CAB IS STILL THERE AND EASILY READABLE ALONG WITH THE ORIGINAL DECAL IN GLOVE BOX THAT SHOWS ALL THE OPTIONS. THE FOUR WAY FLASHERS WOR, UT FOR SOME REASON THE BLINKERS DON'T ACTIVATE FROM THE STEERING COLUMN SWITCH. THE INSIDE HEATER BLOWER MOTOR SELECTOR DOENT KICK IT ON LIKE ALOT OF THESE GM TRUC, UT THE HEAT DOES TRICKLE OUT AND THE ASH TRAY HAS LOS TITS BALL BEARINGS THAT KEEP IT IN THE SLIDER. FOR 47 YEARS OLD IT SHOWS IT'S AG, UT A LOT LESS THEM MOST VEHICLES OF THIS ERA THAT ARE LUCKY USUALLY JUST HAVE THE PARTS THERE LET ALONE IN THIS SHAPE!
MECHANICAL- THIS OLD GMC IS TIGHT AND SOLID MECHANICALLY ANDIS A VERY STRONG AND SMOOTH RUNNER ONCE IT'S WARMED UP WITH NO HESITATION, ICKING, MOKING, AJOR LEAKS OR ISSUES. IT DRIVES AND STOPS NICE STRAIGHT AND TIGHT JUST AS IT SHOULD. IT HAS WHAT WE BELIEVE IS THE FACTORY ORIGINAL 350 V8 IT CAME WITH, -SPEED MANUAL WITH GRANNY LOW, ANUAL 2-SPEED TRANSFER CASE, ANUAL HUBS, IGHT MANUAL STEERING AND BRAKES THAT STOP SMOOTH WITH NO PULLING OR HOPPING. THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER, LL RUBBER BRAKE LINES, LTERNATOR HAVE BEEN RECENTLY REPLACED ALONG WITH THE STEERING BOX THAT HAS BEEN UPGRADED WITH A RED HEAD UNIT. IT HAS BEEN UPGRADED WITH A EDELBROCK 4BBL INTAKE AND QUADRAJET 4BBL CARB, UT THE ELECTRIC CHOKE SET-UP ISN'T HOOKED UP, UT IT WITHOUT FAIL ALWAYS FIRES RIGHT UP WITH 2 PUMPS AND IDLES ONLY AFTER AFTER A FEW SECONDS. THE RADIATOR HAS BEEN CHANGED OUT IT LOOKS LIKE WITH A LARGER 4 CORE AND THE TOP IS STRAPPED IN WITH ZIP TIES THAT GET THE JOB DONE AND HOLD IT TIGHT, UT SOME BOLTS RAN IN WOULD BE BETTER. THIS TRUCK DOESN'T LEAVE ANY PUDDLES OF FLUID, OESN'T LOAD UP AT STOPS OR OVER HEAT. THIS TRUCK HAS OLDER EXHAUST AND THE DRIVER SIDE MANIFOLD HAS BEEN REPLACED NOT TOO LONG AGO, UT THERE IS SOME MINOR FEATHERING EXHAUST LEAK SOUND COMING THE EXHAUST ITSELF UNDR THE TRUCK. FOR BEING A 69 MANUAL DRIVE TRUCK IT IS A EASE TO DRIVE ON COUNTRY ROADS OR AT HWY SPEEDS, UT SHE IS A LOW GEARED TRUCK THAT I DON'T LIKE GOING ABOVE 70MPH WITH. IT AT ONE TIME SAT FOR 2 MONTHS OUTSIDE WITHOUT BEING TOUCHED AND LEFT NO LARGE PUDDLES AND FIRED RIGHT UP. THIS IS A CLASSIC TRUCK THAT WILL NOT LET YOU DOWN AND PULLS STRONG :)
