1968 Chevrolet C-20, wd, ong box pickup with just under 500 miles on a complete, rame up restoration to original condition. A unique truck with CST trim, Custom Camper, he original L66, 96 motor with the original TH400 transmission and a Dana 60 rear end with a 3.54 gear ratio, lus rear coil spring suspension, ront stabilizer bar, ower steering and power brakes. Not an A/C truck. The starting point was a pretty solid original truck with original cab and sheet metal, riginal drive train and original interior. Every piece of rubber, lastic, inyl, iring, lass, nterior parts, rive train and suspension components, very nut, olt and screw was either replaced or refurbished. The drive train was rebuilt to factory specs from the u-joints on up including the original two bolt main, 65 hp, 96 motor, he automatic transmission and the 10 bolt, on positraction, ear end. The front and rear suspensions and brake systems have been rebuilt with all new tie rod ends, hocks, ushings, all joints, rake components as well as other wear parts replaced.
The original cab, oors, enders, owl vent panel, rill and frame were media blasted to bare, ust free metal prior to repair and application of corrosion protection material and refinish material. New box sides and tailgate are US made, ftermarket parts. The bottom of the cab and box floor have been coated with color matching bed liner material. Primer, urfacer and urethane refinish materials are PPG products.
The buddy bucket seats are original to this truck and recovered. The interior rear view mirror has been relocated to the windshield for ease of use. The headliner was added in order to reduce cab noise. The Retrosound radio is an OEM lookalike but with blue tooth and USB connections. Dynamat sound deadening material has been applied to all interior covered surfaces. The wiring harness is a new Painless item. All new carpet, eals, eather stripping, oor internals, lass and trim has been installed. A new tach dash was installed. All exterior trim including bumpers, eadlamp assemblies, rill trim, ogos, oor handles, oldings, tc. were replaced with largely new aftermarket parts with some NOS and original parts utilized where available and of good quality.
The original spare wheel and original spare tire are mounted underneath the bed.
There is no build sheet or Protecto Plate available, ut it was pretty clear that this was an unmolested, riginal vehicle except for an older repaint and a few other items like the rear bumper. One of the nicest, estored to original condition C-20 pickups available. Clear Washington title in my name.
