The 1965 was the first year for the Big Block Corvette with the introduction of the 396 425 Hp Turbo Jet engine. Only 2157 Big Block Corvettes were produced. with most of those being installed in convertible models. This 1965 Corvette Coupe is 1 of 748 coupes ever produced by Chevrolet with the Big Block 396. and per my calculations. its one of 23 Big Block Coupes with the Radio Delete option (1965 Corvette production totaled 23. 62 with 1. 49 cars with Radio Delete. that equals 23. 62 total Corvettes produced divided by 748 coupes = 0. 0317 percent = 23. The VIN is 194375S116496. and the car was one of 1. 75 painted in Goldwood Yellow (repainted in red with white interior). includes power windows. Side Mounted Exhaust. Power Brakes. Knock Off Wheels. and a 4 speed manual transmission with a positraction rear axle. Engine No. Right Front: T06529IF -- 116496. Engine No. Left Rear: 3855962. The only things wrong with this car is that the clock is not working. nbsp;there are two small cracks on each side of the hood by the air vents (see picture) that I am told this is common and easy to repair. and the speedometer cable spun a few weeks ago. and I have ordered a new one from Ecklers. Considering the rarity of the Radio Delete Option in this first generation Big Block Corvette. the cars value will continue to increase.
