For 1964, he Impala was restyled to a more rounded and softer look. The signature taillight assembly had an “upside-down U” shaped aluminum trim strip above the taillights. Super Sport, SS”, s the signature performance option package offered by Chevrolet on its vehicles. Soon “SS”became known as the benchmark performance brand for General Motors.

Finished in a rich red, he paint job shows extremely well with only few minor imperfections visible upon close inspection. Both the front and rear chrome bumpers fit nicely complimenting the body. The original aluminum trim pieces are present (including the front grill and rear panels), hey still show well and period accurate. The weather-stripping is still very pliable, ith little tearing or shrinkage that we noticed . The 20 inch Budnik alloys has minor marring, but show extremely well.

Inside, he front and rear red vinyl seats all look great. The air conditioning system is inoperable, owever the compressor and several lines are connected, ust inoperable, he windshield wipers and AM radio are operable. The door panels and dashboard match the exterior of the car and look fantastic. The dashboard gauges and SS center console are complete, isplay well and compliment the rest of the interior. Steering wheel matches the interior, ith very little wear or no cracking. The original headliner, arpet and floor mats appear to have received a refurbishing and look fantastic.

This beautifully refreshed Impala features a 4 barrel Holley sitting on top of a 327cid small block Chevrolet V8 engine mated with a rebuilt 2 speed Powerglide automatic transmission, ower windows, ustom air bag adjustable ride height suspension and 20 inch Budnik polished five spoke alloys, ith low profile Bridgestone tires.

This SS represents the best of two very popular car cultures, uscle cars and low riders. You can either leave it high and fly or drop it low for slow. Its your choice!, ut either way GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!
