Description

I purchased this truck in 2003 from the owner near Redding in northern California. It had been his neighbors for 20 years, and he owned it for 4 years, so for the last 37 years it's had 3 California owners. I used the truck as a work truck around our horse property for hauling hay, fresh barn bedding and firewood. I used it about 20 miles each week. Over the 10 years since I've owned it, I have spent over $10,000 in upgrading parts and repairs, including the original Thriftmaster 6 engine professionally rebuilt, new brake system components installed, rear end replaced, new powder coated wheels and radial tires added, and a new chrome back bumper. Also an AM/FM radio and cassette player with dual speakers and a complete new wiring harness added. all gauges work and the frame is straight. Windows roll up and down easily and wing windows work. It looks good at 10 ft and even better at 20 ft. It has the scrapes, scratches, dents and dings you would expect a working truck to have (see the pictures). The wood bed was replaced before I purchased it 10 years ago and I believe it is pine. It needs a new paint job and some minor body repairs due to small dents, minor rust and scratches. The interior is 10 years old, no tears or rips, black and gray in color - but a new interior that would match a new paint job would be nice! All receipts for repairs are available. Additional parts that are part of the sale include:window felts, glove box, choke and throttle (chrome) cables, 3 seat belts, extra venting for heater vents, chrome radio knobs, original radio badge cover, original jack and handle and tire iron, glass gas fuel filter, extra wiring harness and voltage regulator. As is, it is a dependable daily driver and good work truck. Would make a great truck to restore or customize. It has a rare, big rear window, step side and long bed.
