Description

How do you even begin to describe an all-out awesome build like this 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle? Do you start with the amazing paint? The huge investment in straight bodywork? The amazing custom A/C interior? The supercharged big block pumping out 700 hp? There are just too many great details of a coupe that you're going to need to read all of this.So let's start with that paint. It's called Cabernet Red and there's so much metallic in it that the tones are deeper depending on where the sun hits the body. It's deep and rich and sophisticated and so well done that you almost can't resist running your fingers down its flanks just to see if it's still wet. This shine has become a central theme of this coupe. The bumpers have been polished to look like mirrors, all trim is in like-new condition, and the blue dot headlights look like prisms with their crystal-clear lenses. Even the SS grille has been given a billet shine instead of its usually blacked-out appearance. One look at the body and you can tell there has been some serious time and money invested in sweating the details, and the results are so laser straight, they even shaved the door handles to continue the butter-smooth appearance. But just because this coupe has been pampered, doesn't mean it has lost its aggressive muscle car attitude. The cowl induction hood, black SS stripes, and bold 20-inch Ridler wheels keep this a street-eating machine.Open the door, and the layout resembles Chevelles you know, but it will be hard to find a stock item in this custom built. Just look at the seats. They are the low-back models we love to give classic hardtops an awesome profile, but these also have modern bolstering for all-day comfort. This pattern matches the rear buckets, door panels, and even the trunk. Of course you spotted the custom center console that runs the whole length of the car and matches the excellent exterior red. While everyone will love the way it looks, it also houses the B&M Quicksilver shifter and auxiliary gauges. In fact, while the whole presentation is absolutely stellar, this interior has the most to offer the driver. Beyond the banjo-style steering wheel is a full set of digital gauges. You've also got the controls for the trans lock and MSD ignition timing. But to keep your passengers from playing with your toys, they get an AM/FM/CD stereo mounted in the glovebox and sliders for ice-cold air conditioning to control. You've seen the supercharged badges and all the extra gauges, so it shouldn't surprise there's a monster motor in the engine bay. But you might be surprised that you'll need sunglasses before popping the hood. We don't think there is another component that could be polished or painted to match the engine bay. The presentation alone will win you awards, but beneath the shine is serious substance. That's a 502 cubic-inch stroker V8 that's been enhanced even further with a Procharger DS-1 supercharger. This big power has been fortified with components like King rod bearings, Eagle forged steel crank, H-beam connecting rods, Mahle aluminum forged pistons, double moly rings, Cannelli aluminum heads, hydraulic roller cam. Quickfuel 1050 CFM four-barrel carburetor. Don't just lists to the sweet rumble of the header-fed dual exhaust, investigate where it came from. In those undercarriage shots you'll instantly understand that there is only 285 mile on this whole build because that beautiful exterior red fully covers everything and it still looks fantastic. But just like the motor, there's more here than just shine. Your 700r4 four-speed overdrive trans has a 2,500 stall. That feeds the stout 3.73, 12-bolt rear end with Strange axles. Upfront there is an upgraded tubular A-arm independent front suspension. Backing this up is power steering, performance tires, and a Wilwood four-wheel disc brake package. There's so much more to list but we've run out of room.
