STK 2025 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo This 2-owner 1987 Monte Carlo SS is a good example of top-of-the-line model of this generation - fully optioned and powered by a 305CI HO engine. The car has received a partial restoration of the exterior, but the interior and drivetrain are all original. The body was repainted in 2008 in classic silver with distinct blue/gray flames over the front clip. Subtle visual accents front and rear really impact the overall appearance of the coupe. Staggered BF Goodrich Radial TA tires on period correct Weld Five Star alloy wheels give the car a wonderful old-school stance. The interior is original (except for the “Tasmanian” in the rear seat). Comfortable grey cloth reclining bucket seats are in very good condition. Our classic Monte Carlo is equipped with air conditioning (R-134), AM/FM/cassette stereo, power tinted windows and tilt wheel. The SS option adds a full gauge package, center console and floor mounted shifter. Other options include: power steering, power locks, cruise and dual sport mirrors. The SS 305HO 4V small block produces 180 HP and 225lb/ft of torque and still delivers an advertised 22-MPG on the highway. The engine is in original configuration, has never been rebuilt and runs strong. It is backed by GM 200R4 automatic transmission and positraction rear end with 3.73:1 gearing. Power-assisted front discs and rear drums provide plenty of stopping power. The entire car is nicely detailed and the undercarriage is clean and very solid. The current owner has genuinely cared for this SS for 22 years and that effort is going to make some new owner very proud. ALL VEHICLES SOLD “AS IS”.
