You are bidding on a 1954 Corvette Convertible in Polo White over Sportsman Red interior. Exactly as it left the factory in 1954. In fact this is an excellent condition 3 owner car that has been carefully restored to factory specifications. This is a highly desirable collector quality corvette that you would be proud to drive or show. Even comes with a letter from the family of the original owner confirming it's provenance.
This particular corvette is in extremely good overall condition. It was also painstakingly prerepared by the previous owner for Bloomington Gold certification. It is not a fresh restoration but an older restoration that shows like it has been recently done. Photos of the car are included as it was found and purchased from the original owner and prior to the restoration.
The exterior of the car (paint, chrome and glass) are all in fantastic condition. Paint and chrome both shine like a new penny but have as well a blemish here or there. Most significant being the paint has a slight blistering across the front and down both sides. Not significant enough to show in a photo however.
The interior of the car (seats, cockpit, carpet, door panels and dash) are also in very good condition having been replaced during the restoration work a few years previously.
Mechanically the car runs and drives out very well. Starts easily, idles great and sounds very nice. Engine compartment is completely detailed and you can be confident in knowing that it is ready for the road. Clutch, transmission and brakes are all working exactly as they should.
As can be seen in the photos, it comes as well with an essentially new top, side curtains and even an extremely rare and hard to find period correct hard top. Convertible top has perfect cloth and clear flawless glass. Side curtains are clear and in near new condition.
