Description

Here is a 1973 corvette stingray t-top matching numbers car,the story behind this car is as follows, first of all I got this car about 1 month ago,I found this car in a barn in Arizona, the lady that owned it had the car for the last 31 yrs, approx 5 yrs ago she parked the car in her barn due to her declining heath and she was unable to get in and out of it being the car sat so low to the ground, after parking the car she never looked back until I saved it from the state it was in, I would keep this car and fix it in a heartbeat if I did not have other projects going on and furthermore I'm not a corvette kinda guy, that being said,I put the car on a trailer and brought it home, first things first,I dropped the fuel tank knowing after 5 yrs the gas and tank were no longer any good,on that note I did not find a build sheet however,I did replace the tank sending unit gas cap gaskets etc with all new parts, then proceeded with cleaning out the fuel lines and replacing the fuel Pump and having the original carberator that was still on the car rebuilt,I then changed the oil and replaced the battery, after turning over the car started right u, no smok, no knocks and seem to run pretty good, looking at the odometer it read 49000 miles, however I'm not going to stand behind this as a 49000 actual mile car cause I do not know for sure that it is,so that being said when bidding this car very well my have 149000 miles on it,in this description it may sound like I am down grading this car and picking it apart however I am just being honest with you and telling you what I do know and do not want to mislead anyone in anyway,I've taken the best pictures I could to represent the car,,that being said this is not a turn key car and ready to turn heads by any means, this car will need the seats recoverd, it will need new carpet,it will need a new center console,it will need new door panels,it will need new visors, the telescope steering wheel will need some attention it don't seem to lock in place and moves in and out as if you were adjusting it the original radio is not in the car, however the lady gave me box of stuff that went with the car and it is in the box along with books catalogs receipts and other misc items, the dash in this car is in good condition no cracks et, as for the body on this car there is a few stress cracks on the front rubber bumper along with small minor chips and flaking paint, this car will need body work and need to be repainted, far as mechanical goes, the car starts runs and drives, however the brake pedal is low but it does still stop the car,I removed the ac compressed for 3 reasons,# 1 it is in need of repair, the clutch on the compressed appears to need replacing,#2 it was easier to replace the fuel pump with it out of my way #3 it was easier to read and confirm that this is a matching numbers car and has the original motor and trans that it was born with,, however when I say matching number car this does not include alternator water pump etc cause I don't know if any of them items have been re placed, the car appears to have some cracked and possibly missing vacuum lines, the tires have very good tread and hold air but I'm guessing that they are at least five yrs old and may be flat spotted from sitting,I'm selling this car and being up front letting you know that it is going to need some work however, it is mostly original and has all the bones of being a $20.000 dollar car,all the glass is in good condition, any question please ask before bidding,I had this car listed last week and it almost hit the reserve price, the car is worth every penny of what I want for it,and still room for someone to get a great deal, thanks for your interest and happy bidding, if you are the winning bidder I will gladly store the car for you for 30 days free of charge while you make shipping arrangements, however if you are the winning bidde, I ask that you contact me asap after the auction,a $500.00 non refundable deposit will be required within 24 hrs after the auction ends, with the remaining balance due in 7 days from the end of the auction,if you are a local buyer the car is avalible for viewing by appointment, again thanks for your interest,
