1940 Chevrolet 3/4 ton Special w/ 235 I6 & 4speed Tranny
I have put a lot into this truck and its not quite finished but it has to go. Here are some of the details, feel free to ask any questions. I included a few of the early progress pics and how it looked before I got started.
- Professionally painted & body work by Ricks Autobody in Missoula MT in a GM White (we started with great minimal rust straight body)- Gloss Black painted fiber glass running boards (original steel boards are not refinshed but will be included)- Chevy 235 I6 (I added some pics just to show we had it torn down and replaced, cleaned and refinished everything)- New CoolCraft aluminum radiator- 12v Ron Francis conversion is 80% complete (note the bitchin Harley headlights!)- Custom upholstered seat- White pine pelucid treated bed- Brakes are not complete but I have new dual chamber master cyl that I planned to install- Good tires on not original wheels and not painted for show but useable-All glass in tact and clear (except passenger side has some defects in glass but not broken or cracked)- Rare under bed spare tire carrier included ( I like the sides clean without a carrier)
If you look at the pics you can see its a great looking truck just needing someone to finish it. Here are a few things to know... I have not installed the running boards or front clip so it can be worked on and completed without damaging the paint. This may make it tough if you have a regular transport company in mind. It runs and starts but I have no exhaust and a little cooling plumbing needs to be finished as I was trying to make a base to mount the under dash heater. Heater is included (see pic). Brakes need to be finished and drive line is not installed but is included. It really wont take to long and to much more money to complete. You wont be disappointed, I guarantee I will have more money into it than I sell it for. It is going to be a gorgeous and cool truck.
