1992 Chevrolet Camaro z28 convertible 5 speed
GM short block zz383 with RHS aluminum heads built by TPI Specialties. 480hp. (with dyno sheet) 8 years old 20,000 miles. Runs very quiet and smooth…..and strong to 6500 rpm!
Suspension QA1 coil over double adjustable BMR tubular K member and some spohn stuff including sub frame connectors. Plus I’ve added +1” of wheelbase!
Brakes Wilwood 4 piston front and Bear rear. Tuned proportion valve so it brakes great!
Wheels Bogart Road Race ultralight 17*9 front 17*9.5 rear 255/45 front 285/40 rear.
5 speed totally stock rebuilt about 10 years ago and still works awesome, shifts super easy and no noise! Aluminum flywheel.
Paint, super new with tons of clear coat. Black satin stripes that match the factory 25th anniversary heritage addition, no dents, only 1 touched up chip on door L
Convertible top new and with glass window! Takes more effort to put up and down however.
No stereo, car was broken into and seriously vandalized, but much has been restored, however for the stereo. there is an Alpine 5 channel amp, JL Audio 12” Sub. and 5*8 MB Quart rear speakers with crossover. Some rewiring and a head unit can get you back with tunes.
Trunk is been redone in suede, check picture.
AC does not work. but worked last summer, New factory compressor, condenser, and evaporator installed 8 years ago.
Factory gauges are cool, (see picture) Camaro 6 cylinder tachometer and 5.7 engine speedometer. This way you have a 145mph. speedo and 6k RPM redline. They have been calibrated!
Rear end Stock 8.5 which I like because it is so light. 3:23 ratio True Track Torsen differential. Welded in half shafts, Strange axles, and LPW cap support/cover.
Aluminum driveshaft, balanced.
