Description
Here's a very nice, rare and unique 1993 Chevy Cavalier Station Wagon with only 54,198 miles on it and a rust free rock solid body with all original paint and dealer installed pin striping [just the fiberglass cowl induction Z24 hood and Z24 grill have been painted to match the teal metallic paint] that we have owned and enjoyed as a Beach Cruiser and are selling due to both being retired now and not needing many cars. Still has the Pennsylvania Inspection stickers on it even though expired now, was bought in Highspire, PA and brought here to Ohio by us. Extremely straight and clean, rust free body and undercarriage [other than some small areas surface rust- the car has never been in the salt of winter and hardly ever the rain], mechanically awesome, can be driven anywhere with confidence. Interior is very nice and comfortable with the exception of the headliner which is drooping from the heat on the roof, a typical problem from the era. A new replacement fabric headliner kit is $59.99 with free shipping on Ebay. It is tolerable the way it is or that's all it would take to make the whole interior great. The horn, all gauges, instruments, turn signals and lights work perfectly. Beautiful tinted glass all around, no wiper scratches. Many new mechanical parts including over $1,000 in professional engine work [had a new head gasket installed, engine block drained and flushed, GM belt tensioner, NOS head bolts and more and have the receipt], can be used as an instant cruiser for cruise-ins, getting over 25 mpg or even a grocery getter/ daily transportation rather than buying a new car. AC runs ice cold, heater and defroster work great. Engine compartment is very clean. No electrical problems, never any service engine lights and battery is as new. The tailgate release button is in the glove box along with the original owner's manual and the rear window also has a working defogger. The original donut spare tire, jack and lug wrench are in the tire well and have never been used. Other new parts installed or work done in the last year are AC platinum spark plugs, aluminum radiator, upper and lower radiator hoses, radiator cap, GM Delco thermostat, Gates serpentine belt, Mevotech front stabilizer bar links, transmission fluid and filter change [fluid is cherry red], power steering pump fluid flush and fill, newer front struts and wheel alignment, newer rear shocks, front end lube, air and fuel filter, O2 sensor, importantly an AC Delco in tank fuel pump, PCV valve, water pump, Ignition Module and coils and recent AC Delco oil filter and 5W30 Pennzoil oil. Tires are pretty much like new, clean wheels and very nice original hubcaps, no chips, nicks, scratches or gouges. Still has all 4 original GM floor mats. Steering is nice and tight and all front end ball joints and tie rods have been regularly greased. Parking brake does work since there is no rust. The nice rear seat folds down if extra loading capacity is needed. As mentioned, idles, runs and cruises super but does have dash and/or steering wheel vibration when sitting at a traffic light, a 2.2 issue that Chevy addressed down the road. Does not burn or use a drop of oil, no leaks anywhere, starts up every time and runs super. Even the windshield washer squirters work great and the bottle does not leak, has a new AC Delco pump in it. Has passed the E-Check with ease and I have that document which could be re-used by an Ohio buyer. Transmission, brakes, exhaust are all great and in 1 1/2 years will be eligible for Classic Historical Plates. I have added some old school theme semi-modifications such as the cowl induction Z24 hood and Z24 grill [I still have the original hood and grill and they are beautiful, actually better condition than the Z24 hood and grill if you wish to go back to original and they go with the car, the Z24 hood which is nice and glossy still could use another 2-stage rubout and the 2 polishing compound bottles are included to make it look really nice], the NOS Nomad emblem from a '57 Chevy on the tailgate and 3.1 emblems on the front fenders [as a tribute to the days when we went to the Chevy dealership, bought some 396 V8 emblems and put them on our 6 cylinder Nova or Chevelle- they can be peeled off if you went back all original]. The Union 76 Ball on top the radio antenna is vintage 1960's. Other than that very original with the optional roof rack and cassette tape player. Both the cassette tape player and AM FM radio work great. Some minor dings and scratches but no body work or major damage ever done. Have 2 sets of keys, both sets are original and looks like one set was never used. This is a turn-key vehicle ready to drive and enjoy right off to bat. Please feel free to ask any questions and view the photos carefully especially before buying as this used vehicle is sold as is with no warrantees, guarantees or returns. Please email through Ebay to me for my contact information if you are interested in this Chevy. Honesty is my policy as you can see by my 11 years of perfect feedback on Ebay and you will not be disappointed in this fun car! I have a few extra pictures I can send through the Ebay message system to the seriously interested person, just let me know. This vehicle has been described to the best of my ability noting any known defects and/or repairs made while in my possession. We are located 15 miles east of Cleveland, Ohio with easy access off of State Route 90. A non-refundable deposit of $500 is due immediate with the Buy It Now with the balance being due within 7 days after sale by bank wire transfer or cash on pick up, no checks. I would take full payment for the car by Pay Pal if that's easier for you as long as you pay the extra 3% fee. Please contact me before we do that arrangement and funds would have to clear before car and title could be released, about 3 business days. The car is well worthy of trailering but would most likely make any trip in my experience with the car. You could fly in and drive it home. Pre-sale viewing is both recommended and welcome. I can store the car for a short time as long as full payment is made. Title is clear and in my name. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time as this Cavalier is also advertised locally. Thanks much for looking!
