Description

Very Worthy and RARE Real 1970 RS Z28; Acquired this car a few years back but am heading overseas so I am going to sell it, rather than have it sit through a Colorado winter. Car's body is in really good shape, with very minor body work issues on the rear quarters and one spot on the passenger lower fender. Floors and frame are super solid. Door jambs, rockers, etc. are in incredible shape. There was one small junk patch installed on driver's floor and you will notice some small patched holes from bolts that held a driveshaft safety loop. Car must have been used for racing at some time, as also evidenced by the two large holes in trunk edge that apparently held a fiberglass trunk lid in place. Since I bought it, I have located a good trunk lid, a short spoiler, a correct set of '70 seats, and the correct gauges. I also have a date correct 3970010 4 bolt block with a steel crank....both standard. Also a set of dated xx186 heads, the aluminum intake and a set of finned valve covers. Also have a 1972 Turbo 400 that comes with it. Haven't found a 1970 dated one yet. Car still has the original 12 bolt in it, coded as COZ 0615 ( 3.73 Posi, June 15, 1970) !! Also has the rear sway bar, the floor mounted gas pedal and the front control arm bump stop spacers still intact. I have pics of the firewall side of the pedal as well, that shows it wasn't added later. You can also see from the pics, someone added an incorrect 3 piece spoiler at one time, by the hatchet job they did on finding the side mounting holes. I have most of the stainless as well, Still needs a good dash pad and soft trim parts, as any project would. Currently has a steel cowl hood, but I also have a flat hood if anyone would rather have that.
I had a California pink slip when I bought it, but need to locate it. There was no place to put an entry for missing title on the listing. I will try and locate it in the next few days and it will be included obviously once I locate it. I assume I will be able to update the listing.
